Usage and Information:
This plugin utilises Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version Opting out of this service can be done by editing plugins/Plugin Metrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true.
This plugin features an update command which will check if you are running the latest build and download the update to the plugin folder if it not currently installed. You are required to trigger the command manually and you must restart or reload the server for changes to take effect.
Thanks to my donators!

The expiry is to set when the message list will no longer broadcast. If you dont know the time in milliseconds then I would suggest using the in-game commands as it is significantly easier to interpret.

No not yet. Would you mind opening up a ticket with this addition?
@Tombikos
Lol yea I realized that I selected the wrong jar file half way through the upload. I didn't think it would have saved. Ill go ahead and delete that now.

What is that section for?
Also, could you update the permissions section in the post and the configuration post in the Usage and Information section

You must have something wrong with the permissions. If you are not going to send all the available config and permissions files then I cannot help you.

Posted Feb 1, 2013Ok, this is messed up. I tried to debug and thus made very simple settings ..
I set up three lists named 'group1', 'group2' and 'group3'.
Then I added 'automessage.receive.group1' to default and something odd happened:
http://i.imgur.com/2Xv9MfI.png
The top window is administrator rank, which is the highest ranks and inherits everything from ranks below
The button window is the registered rank, which is right above default and inherits everything from the default rank.
As you see the administrator receive all three list despite only one list being added as permission. The registered rank, receives the correct messages. So I thought I'll just remove the permission again and see what happens, and then it gets more weird:

The administrator rank STILL receives all message (even after relogging and restarting the server) and this is quite weird as my permission file has no automessage permission whatsoever. The registered rank act as you'd expect and stops receiving messages.
This is the first time I've had permission problems like this. The server is running Herochat, which is kind of a mess with negating permissions and what not, and it has caused no issues. Still I am not sure if the problem is PEX or AutoMessage, or a combination - or a stupid mistake on my side.

I checked the spelling and it is correct. I've also got the newest versions of PEX and AutoMessage.
Is there any debug mode - or should I use the PEX debugging?

Have you made sure that the message list is actually called default? Also make sure that you have the latest version of PermissionsEx and AutoMessage.

I am having the same problem. I've made a list called 'default' and given the default group the following permission:
automessage.receive.default
Then I am negated the permission for the member group with the following permissiong:
-automessage.receive.default
Yet the member group is still receiving the messages from the default list. What am I doing wrong?
I am using PEX.

Yes, all you have to do is copy one of the lists, paste it and change the name!

Posted Jan 24, 2013Well the VIP rank inherits the - automessage.recieve.default from the default rank. to fix this simple add - -automessage.revieve.default to the VIP rank.

Posted Jan 23, 2013Well.. i put some permissions on the right place, and the "default" permission negative.. look:
- automessage.receive.vip - -automessage.receive.default
These permissions are in the VIP group, and still appears in the default messages VIP group ... Really something is wrong .. if you want to see, here is my permissions:

Seconds
@johnbrasil
Does the VIP group have inheritance of the default permissions? If so, that would explain why. To fix that, just give the VIP group negative default permission node?
@butterfinger101
Not happening for me. Your config is likely to be incorrect - might want to check it?

Posted Jan 20, 2013So, when I'm OP I see all messages of every group every 45 seconds. I find that quite spamming/annoying. Is there a way to fix this issue?

No there isn't. For longer messages you must edit the config.

Posted Jan 11, 2013So i'm an admin for a server. I only have admin access to this server. So going into the plugins folder is never going to happen.
My issue is with adding new Auto Messages. How is that my issue? well the ones that are already made for advertising and helping out the server are nicely designed. I can redesign them but the space it takes for me to recreate them it takes up my Minecraft Characters. This Is why i was wondering if there is a command to add more Text to a Message. Like it adds it to the end of the previous text.
