What is AutoMessage?

AutoMessage is an easy to use chat scheduler plugin. It is a plugin perfect for server admins who would like to announce broadcasts at configurable intervals. The plugin features a rich in-game config editor as well as the ability to edit the config from the disk. The plugin is designed to be very lightweight and cause no impact on server resources! The plugin is updated within days of new releases to ensure complete up-to-date server compatibility! Check out the plugin review here!

Installation:

Just drag and drop into your plugins folder then restart or reload your server! Simple!

Usage and Information:

This plugin utilises Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:

A unique identifier
The server's version of Java
Whether the server is in offline or online mode
The plugin's version
The server's version
The OS version/name and architecture
The core count for the CPU
The number of players online
The Metrics version Opting out of this service can be done by editing plugins/Plugin Metrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true.

This plugin features an update command which will check if you are running the latest build and download the update to the plugin folder if it not currently installed. You are required to trigger the command manually and you must restart or reload the server for changes to take effect.

Im working on an update however I am traveling and do not know when I will be able to update. However I expect to release it soon.

To everyone else I am sorry that I have not released an update as quick as I can however I will be sure to make sure this next one is more stable than the latest version.

Please upgrade to CB 4.0 I Have the same error as the DistortedDorian. Even on the default settings.

Configuration:
interval - The time in between each broadcast in seconds
prefix - The tag shown at the beginning of a broadcast
random - Randomize broadcasted messages (true or false)
logToConsole - Disable to prevent console spam (true or false)
enabled - Disable to stop plugin from broadcasting (true or false)
Messages:
Add a new message with the format - 'Message'
Add color codes by prefixing either with & or $
Example: &aHello $bWorld!
Messages can be placed on separate lines by using the $n delimiter.
Example: &aHello $n&bWorld!

Ok i fixed the extra ' but i still get the startup error. It doesnt reset my config but loads defaults anyway --

Thanks!! That worked. I guess my confusion came from how the default config has single quotes ' and seems to work, but the my custom config has to have the double quote ".

Good idea, but I think thats too far away from the main plugin purpose. It is a broadcast-plugin, not something like a cronjob.

Found the error in your config. In your very first message line you have 3 apostrophes. So in this line: - 'Thank you for playing on $2JudasRose $fand $2Bucketheads' $fserver' Remove the ' after Bucketheads and it works.

@Mirrorsounds

A very similar error in your case. Your message is not enclosed by two ''s and therefore is causing errors in the way that bukkit reads the configuration. On this line here: - website is currently down, any new members will have to wait until it is fixed to register, please to do not invite people until it is back.' add a ' before website and you should be set!

I will look into this and see if there is some way that I can incorporate ''s into the messages.

I have tried everything. I have done /am reload, /reload, /stop and started again. No matter what it wipes the config and puts in a new one. If you like please review my config in case i did anything wrong.... http://pastebin.com/FxHejJQg

The dev build did not fix it. The Config still resets to default on every load. I will wait anxiously for the next build.

I have been very busy lately but I will try to push an update as soon as I can. If you are experiencing issues with the current version try my dev build. It should fix quite a bit of config issues however it seems like some servers still have issues with the dev build. Sorry for any inconvenience and I will try to have this fixes as soon as I can.
