Automatica

This mod will introduce some new Mechanics and Blocks while you can keep full control over it! My aim with this mod is to add some reasonable mechanics to the game, not overpowering them.

The Blocks

The Breeder

It uses wheat and seeds in order to breed animals nearby. You can of course tune:

  • its activation
  • the breeding-ranges
  • wether it is an own block or a new function of dispensers
  • wether it needs fuel to work (the same way furnances are fueled (like 1 coal -> 8 uses)
  • the cooldown of this block
The Seeder

It seeds seeds, saplings, nether ward, sugar cane, etc. on the block in front of it. (I know one block is really a short range but srsly you can make machines with it that run forever, just build them bigger if you want more)

You can of course tune:

  • its activation
  • wether it is an own block or a new function of dispensers
  • wether it needs fuel to work
  • the cooldown of this block
The Builder

It places blocks. One space in front of it. It prefers to place blocks that are no fuel over blocks that are fuel. You can even build golems with this block.

You can of course tune:

  • its activation
  • wether it is an own block or a new function of dispensers
  • wether it needs fuel to work
  • the cooldown of this block
  • wether it uses fuel if it is activated but blocked
  • wether it dispenses the item if it is activated but blocked
  • wether golems can be build with this block or not
  • wether golems belong to the nearest player when build or to the player that placed the builder that placed the pumpkin
The Destroyer

It uses tools (Pickaxes, Axes, Spades, Shears, Swords) on the block or entity in front of it. Blocks are only broken if the right tool is used. If there are multiple tools in it it tries to use the most sensible one.

You can of course tune:

  • its activation
  • wether it is an own block or a new function of dispensers
  • wether it needs fuel to work.
  • if tools loose durability
  • the cooldown the different tools cause
  • wether the tools loose durability when used on a non-fitting block or air

Other features

Automatic crafting

If you place a frame with a craftable item against a workbench and feed the necessary items via hoppers in the workbench, you can then get crafted items from underneath the workbench again via hoppers. The Automatic crafting process has of course a cooldown too.

You can of course tune:

  • its activation
  • wether it needs fuel to work
  • the cooldown
Per world configs

Apart from the general config you can add world configs for maximum profit. You can also decide wether you want the new blocks to be named dispensers or crafted via new recipes.

Some remarks

I will very likely release the finished mod open source. But not yet. Status at the moment: Alpha.
