AutoAnnouncer - Global announcements every few minutes

Tested with CB: 1.2.5-R5.0-SNAPSHOT, 1.2.5-R4.0-SNAPSHOT, 1.2.5-R3.0-SNAPSHOT, 1.2.5-R2.0-SNAPSHOT, 1.2.5-R1.0-SNAPSHOT
You need Vault for permissions and groups support: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/vault/
VAULT IS NOT REQUIRED, If you don't want use Vault for permissions and group support set the follow options in config.yml:
- Permission: false
If you do this, only OPs can use the commands
Commands:
- /announcer help|? - Show help
- /announcer on|off - Start/stop AutoAnnouncer
- /announcer restart - Restart the AutoAnnouncer scheduler
- /announcer interval <minutes|seconds> - Set interval time between announcements
- /announcer random <on|off> - Set random or use consecutive announcements
- /announcer add [announce here] - Add a new announce to the list
- /announcer list - List all the announces with the id.
- /announcer remove [announce id] - Remove a announce from the list.

Posted Mar 19, 2012Some 1 plz help whenever i add to or change the .yml it just tells me there is no announcements to announce. I rlly need an announcement plugin and im stuck.. sorry for being a nub but i cant figure this out.

I had that too. I didn't have Vault installed and adding that, and re-adding the jar fixed it for me.

correct, but perhaps more importantly... why do the announcements not start automatically after a reload? Am I missing something, I have to type /announcer on every time I reload? This should at least be configurable. It could even remember its place, and continue on the schedule.
definitely needs a way to reload the config, and a way to broadcast an announcement manually. And thanks for telling me it needs vault.
I do like the config file, it's quite intuitive, even if there are features missing that the plugin kinda needs... but the in game aspect of it is really putting me off.

Posted Mar 14, 2012You really need to add a reload function for the plugin or some way of rechecking the configuration. There is no way to update the messages other than to restart the server, and it's a bit ridiculous to have to do that. Sure you can change the interval time, but don't you think being able to change the messages themselves is a lot more useful?
Also you need to make it clear that the permission option only works if the server has Vault.

the groups say that the messages send only if the player are in these group.
if you are not in Default group you dont read the message.
