Thank you for the info :) If it's not too nosy, how many players does your server have on peak hours?
@Florinmohican
Xephii will eventually update authme to 4.0, but he's buisy whith study. Allthough I do wish he would give an additional developer the keys to his project, He'll provably be taking long to fix this. He usually takes advantage of hollydays, so expect Easter or Summer :/
@ThanhScottKennedy
Make sure you are not including any accents or weird characters. ´ ` ¨ ñ ç Also make sure you stop the server before uploading changes to the lang file.
/authme reload tends to make my players stuck after reloads, I seriously don't recommend it xD

Now that's peculiar. 3.5 just crashes my server constantly :l
@ThanhScottKennedy
Stop your server, and look for the plugin's "messages_en.yml" language file. Translate all phrases from English to Vietnamese.
If, however, you don't understand english, good luck whit reading what I'm saying, and better luck on translating :(

I seem to have a bug where blocks refuse to stack. I believe its a bug and has been reported. Hopefully there will be a fix. I decided to use Authme 3.4 but there seem to be issues with the database now...

the problem is that players know their passwords. with plugins such as ess eco or vault(?),they use diffent cases characters and SAME password to log in to get starting balance for more than once...

Apparently the problem is on your side. The plugin works just fine. Most likely they just know your password.
Make 2 characters with different letter cases. Log in with first one... register... log out. Log in with second one and look if it asks password or registration.
Just make a local server for testing plugins and stuff. Makes it so so much easier to figure out what is wrong.
PS: When testing don't enable all plugins at the same time... just keep adding them one by one.
@gumgumpuntnl
Same for you local server and test plugins by adding one at a time.

Thanks a lot for the fix. You should handle the developpment of authme and move it to spigot (you could even make people pay for it) since the main developper isn't really active and we expect an active developper for a plugin of that importance.

What? I'm telling you that all my server names ARE case sensitive. That's the bug.
People ARE bypassing protection by putting my name like joAger or jOager.

Do you even read and think before you write?
Why even have protection if others can bypass it by making a character with the same name and just different case?
It is impossible to make it work as it should since not all plugins use case sensitive names!
If someone uses CrazyLogin + LWC then you might aswell remove LWC since anyone can make new toon and access chests!!!
You are typical windows user who has no idea about security!!!
Just tell me one reason you'd ever need case sensitive names?

Yep, and that's BS.
It's not impossible to do as CrazyLogin does it.

Posted Feb 1, 2015Can someone please tell me what is causing this error:
http://pastie.org/9878071
Using Spigot build #291 and Multiinv #45 and AuthMe - 3.5
Could it be caused by Authme?
Because this happens when a user logs in/off

If You aren't using adventure mode or custom NBT tags then you can just skip the cache writing part in the code: FileCache.java
Attributes attributes = new Attributes(item); if (attributes != null) while (attributes.values().iterator().hasNext()) { Attribute a = attributes.values().iterator().next(); if (a != null) { try { if (a.getName() != null && a.getAttributeType() != null && a.getOperation() != null && a.getUUID() != null) writer.write("attribute=" + a.getName() + ";" + a.getAttributeType().getMinecraftId() + ";" + a.getAmount() + ";" + a.getOperation().getId() + ";" + a.getUUID().toString()); } catch (Exception e) { } catch (Error e) {} } }
You can just comment it out or put into if(false){code} I did it just for inventory items since it really doesn't matter on other things since they don't stack.
If links are allowed you could use the one I compiled. Filedropper link
Old items will still be NTB as they were but new ones won't become NTB 0 upon login.

If you mean that username isn't case sensitive. You can't have user,User,USer,USEr,USER... as different accounts then it ain't a bug. Why? Since some plugins also use non case sensitive methods. If You'd use LWC to protect your chests, furnances, doors... Lets say your owners account name is Melinda. Anyone could access chests protected by Melinda just by creating a character with same name just different case letters(melinda,mElinda ... aso).

I'm running bungeecord but I run AuthMe with MySQL on every server, so they can't bypass login. However, I solved the bug. This started to happen after I removed and then regenerated spigot.yml, and I forgot to put bungeecord to true, so the players had all their IPs as the IP bungee IP.
