ArenaPaintball

Table of Contents

Paintball

A Paintball plugin where players can queue and will join a free paintball arena to fight it out with highly damaging snowballs. You can make more than one paintball arena and players will cycle through them. If all arenas are in use, the players are kept in the queue and will join when one opens up.

Installing

Put the ArenaPaintball.jar in your plugins folder, along with BattleArena.jar

Making a paintball arena

/pb create <paintball arena name>
/pb alter <paintball arena name> 2 <- setup a second spawn, you can keep adding them if you want more than 2, like /pb alter <paintball arena name> 3

Joining

/pb join

Permission Node

Players will need the permission node arena.join.paintball

Requirements

BattleArena, Paintball is built around the BattleArena API.
Optional BattleTracker : If you want /pb top, or player ratings

Hi,

I want pvpOff on join/prestart as you can see in the config. I have set it right but they can still damage the other team when they join.

That's only happend on ArenaPaintball, it works fine on BattleArena.

So you want pvpOn, pvpOn should allow players to damage each other but friendly fire should be OFF.

So they spawn outside? not really sure what that means.

Hi,

I have that in the EPB config :

onJoin: options: [teleportIn, woolTeams, pvpOff] onPrestart: options: [pvpOff] onStart: options: [pvpOn]

but players can still do damage to other players with snowballs even if pvpOff is set.

Also if a player disconnect while a match he will respawn outside of the arena.

Any idea ?

Nope, it should just work. The only thing you will need is BattleArena.

I don't really handle flying, so maybe if you can figure out how to do it?

Best option might be to use the onCommand and give them flight.

Hello, I am expieriencing a problem. Im not really far into the config. process of the painball itself, but i do have one question that i would like to figure out...... When a game starts there is no like team....... Everyone can just kill eachother, i have 2 different spawns but i dont know how to figure out how to set up teams so the other teamates can't kill there own team.... if anyone could help that woudl be great!!!

Hello, I was wondering if it would be possible to set up 2 arena's on signs? Because I have set up one Paintball arena, but it will not randomize the paintball arenas, or will just go straight to the last one a created all the time.

Hi.
I normally disable flight in all arenas.
BUT... I would like to have one PB arena that the players can fly in.
Is that possible?

Thats fixed with the newest version of BattleArena that I updated today.. sorry about that.

All you need to do is set more spawn points.

Usually you use at least 2 spawn points, one for each team.

Even tho its disables EVERY time i right click an iron block it says "Yuo ready you're self for the arena"

Can you make it where two people on different teams DON'T spawn at the same place.

Also i have number of teams on 2 and i have wool teams on and when 3 people play ones on white ones on blue and ones on red.

I have admin rights! And when I am playing in atfer that there are huge amounts of snow laying on the ground. What should I do? Can I make Teams too or just freeforall?

Make the arena a warzone and turn off power loss in warzone maybe?? Its what I have to do with most plugins with factions. When Guilds is ironed out, factions will fade away.
