ArenaPaintball

A Paintball plugin where players can queue and will join a free paintball arena to fight it out with highly damaging snowballs. You can make more than one paintball arena and players will cycle through them. If all arenas are in use, the players are kept in the queue and will join when one opens up.
Installing
- Put the ArenaPaintball.jar in your plugins folder, along with BattleArena.jar
Making a paintball arena
- /pb create <paintball arena name>
- /pb alter <paintball arena name> 2 <- setup a second spawn, you can keep adding them if you want more than 2, like /pb alter <paintball arena name> 3
Joining
- /pb join
Permission Node
- Players will need the permission node arena.join.paintball
Requirements
- BattleArena, Paintball is built around the BattleArena API.
- Optional BattleTracker : If you want /pb top, or player ratings

I want to port Players to the waiting room when they enter the queue with pb join.
cant get it to work.
I tried adding "onOpen" to the config and put it in there, but paintball seems to ignore the "onopen" event in the config.
Do you have any idea?

Is it possible to block all commands except for paintball once you entered the queue?
#I also suggest that you respawn automatically - dont make the user press respawn.
I mean like.. cancel the death event and port him to the respawn (if set to respawn..)

Posted Jan 8, 2013ops on my server can't be taken out, you throw snow balls at them and nothing happens you have to punch and kill them for it to coutn as them out

I dont have any permissions for players to use snowballs. So that is some other plugin you have that is blocking it. What is the exact message your players are getting? That will help narrow it down to which plugin it is

Posted Jan 7, 2013I'm having a problem. When non-opped players try to throw snowballs, it says they are not permitted. In addition, when holding snowballs they are removed from their inventory, also because they are not permitted to actually hold or have them. We use Essentials for quite a few things, and have set the modifyworld.true permission node for regular players, as well as the following nodes:
- modifyworld.blocks.place.332 - modifyworld.blocks.use.332 - modifyworld.items.pickup.332 - modifyworld.items.hold.332 - modifyworld.items.have.332 - modifyworld.items.drop.332
(332 is the code for snowballs.)
Why does this not allow normal players to use snowballs as they should be used? I got the permission nodes from https://github.com/PEXPlugins/PermissionsEx/wiki/Modifyworld, as well as the item code for snowballs.

Try using the command itself, which is /paintball , that should work!
There is a rank system in place. Download http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/battletracker/ and it will automatically start rating people.
The upgrades is something I want to add in, not sure exactly when.... but I would like that in some way.

Posted Jan 5, 2013Thank alkarinv with the previous comment. The waitrooms are fine but i have come to a problem. Another plugin is interfering with the /pb join. I tried changing the pb to pbl or w.e but it will change. I tried reloading it and nuthing still. What am i doing wrong. I am new to this plugin command thing. I am just using the Paintball.config not the Epaintball one.
And another thing. I was thinking of different ways to maybe add to the paintball. Is there a way we can do upgrades for the players that play. And maybe a rank system or somthing. and one more question, I do all the commands in the Paintball.config correct? sry if that was a stupid question.

Yeah you can, I believe you can just go inside the ArenaPaintball/PaintballConfig.yml and change the "command: pb" to "pbl". If that doesn't work let me know!

Team mate damage should be off by default. For the wait room check this out. https://github.com/alkarinv/BattleArena/wiki/Adding-wait-rooms. Basically you add a "teleportWaitRoom" into the section you want and move the "teleportIn" into another section. Then you create a wait room. "/pb alter <arena name> wr 1"

Posted Jan 3, 2013Hey i just have a couple questions. To start off, I run my own paintball business and ref psp tournys as well. I know how paintball runs and everything but with this plugin. How would i turn Team mate damage off. and how to properly set up a wait room. I tried looking for a "sample" config, but i am not able to find one. Could anyone help me out. Thank you

Posted Dec 30, 2012Man I love this plugin! Please keep up the good work! Although I did run into one problem,in the config I set the damage from the default which was 20 to 2,I tried reloading the config with /paintball reload and then tried with my plugin manager /pm reload ArenaPaintball but the config wouldnt set to 2 for the damage.The only way is to restart the server or /reload in order for it to change.Keep up the goodwork!

So right now you will have to make a factions warzone and set power loss to false... but!
By tomorrow the answer will be no, and I will be able to prevent power loss.

There is for both.
Go into BattleArena/config.yml.
Inside of defaultOptions.matchEnableForceStart: true <- this is what you want to set
This will make it so that if the max # of players hasnt joined, but at least 2 have.. then it will start.

Posted Dec 29, 2012Is there anyway you can set it to start the match after like a minute of the first player joining and make it auto balance teams so you dont have to have the amount of players you set it as. Also can you do that on arena spleef.
