ArenaCTF
A Capture the Flag plugin where you pick up the wool color representing the other team, shown by visual around the wool. Once you pick it up teams are alerted and you need to bring the flag back to your base while your flag is still there. You can make more than one ctf arena and players will cycle through the different maps.
Installing
- Put the ArenaCTF.jar in your plugins folder, along with BattleArena.jar
Making a ctf arena
- /ctf create <ctf arena name>
- /ctf addFlag <ctf arena name> 1 <- add the flag for team 1
- /ctf alter <ctf arena name> 2 <- setup a second spawn
- /ctf addFlag <ctf arena name> 2 <- add the flag for team 2
- /ctf alter <ctf arena name> waitroom 1 <- add a waitroom (you can take a waitroom out by changing the config)
Joining
- /ctf join
Permission Node
- Players will need the permission node arena.join.capturetheflag
- arena.leave , so they can type /ctf leave
How do I win ?
To capture the flag you need to bring the enemy flag back to your flag at it's home. If your flag is being held by the enemy you will need to kill them and return it back ( just walk over it ).

This plugin is made to hook into BattleArena, so you also need to download it as well.

You're welcome! Well, I don't think it's a bug, but I have sometimes tried dropping my "head cloth" that shows my team color, when I die, and then someone picks it up thinking its the opposite teams flag they are holding. Also, the head cloth is gone when re-spawning after death. Is there a way to fix this?

Posted Jan 21, 2013I am just running tests on CTF and some times the player can't collect the flag 3 times they can score 2 times then the flags disappear. I have only managed to get a player to get 3 flags a couple of times. Also players sometimes have more than 1 wool blocks on them.

inside of ArenaCTF/CaptureTheFlagConfig.yml there should be "teleportWaitRoom" inside of onJoin.options: . If you get rid of that it will no longer need the waitroom.

Yeah.
You can also schedule them to run periodically... or you can change them to a queueing system if you don't like to type commands all the time.

Not sure what you mean. So if both teams pick up the enemy flag, then you will have to kill the flag holder and return your flag before you can capture.

Posted Jan 17, 2013One problem i got is that Red team can capture the flag but Blue team can't... both teams can get the flag but Blue team after picking up the other flag it makes it useless and cant capture it... Am I doing something wrong? or is it a bug?

if you want to change that go into the ArenaCTF/CaptureTheFlagConfig.yml. Change the teamSize: 4, or 8, or 3-5 , really however many people you want.
