AreaProtect

AreaProtect is a very simple and lightweight plugin that allows players to create their own protections with worldguard. No need for an Admin/Mod to create protections manually, players can now safely create and manage their own protections. You can limit players maximum areas or the size of the areas they can create (and much more) using customizable groups. Players can also customize the flags of their areas like greetings and farewells.

Of course! Not sure why i didn't use the tickets, just seems that the comments are checked more often by most devs. Also, do you want me to set the parent so that the individual plots are children to the city plot? Or the other way round?

You can make as many groups as you want.
I think your problem is, That your permission groups inherit each other.
So you need to ban that permission for the group that inherits it.
For example:
MyPermissionGroup:
Permissions:
- areaprotect.group.Group1
MyPermissionGroup2:
Permissions:
- areaprotect.group.Group2
- -areaprotect.group.Group1
Inheritance:
- MyPermissionGroup1

Posted Feb 13, 2013@BleedObsidian Thanks for developing AreaProtect, it proves very very useful and simple enough to maintain. Though I do have a question about customizing its configuration. Can we add as many groups as we want ? For some reason, mine seems to always select the first user defined group (after Default) for every players despite areaprotect.group.whatever-group-name added to permissions.

Posted Feb 12, 2013Nice mod.
Could you make it optional so the gold shovel (or custom item) could be used as adding and removing an area around the square you point it at (with some custom radius)? Like some other grief protection mods.

Thanks for reading.

AreaProtect doesn't check if the player can build there or not, WorldGuard does. So if you can find out how to to it with a WordGuard tutorial or something, you can just change the regions settings to do it.

Again, Set the city to priority 3, and the area to priority 0. A higher number is a higher priority, if the area is a lower priority than the city, they will not be able to build in the city any more.

You really think i haven't already done that. And as I was saying the higher the number the higher the priority. So set the city to 3 and the plots to 1.
