AreaProtect

AreaProtect is a very simple and lightweight plugin that allows players to create their own protections with worldguard. No need for an Admin/Mod to create protections manually, players can now safely create and manage their own protections. You can limit players maximum areas or the size of the areas they can create (and much more) using customizable groups. Players can also customize the flags of their areas like greetings and farewells.

Hey, me again :) Would it be possible to add a deny for potion splash to the pvp deny within the regions? Not be able to toggle but it's either pvp off and potions or pvp on?
Cheers, Dez

Posted Mar 7, 2013Hi, I was just wondering if this plugin hooks into any other economy plugin? Essentials eco for example.
Thanks, Dez

Posted Mar 5, 2013I just installed AreaProtect, and its pre-req's WorldEdit and WorldGuard. I configured the config file.
It works for me, an Admin (all permissions). I've given various "areaprotect.ap.___" permissions to users' groups, e.g. Default, Builder, etc. and also defined those groups and their AP parms/limits in the config file, and added one of the "areaprotect.group.___" perms to each group.
The /ap cmds work for me, but whenever someone else tries them (e.g. "/ap create myarea 10"), they get an internal error message, and the console log says:
04.03 18:26:08 [Server] INFO org.bukkit.command.CommandException Unhandled exception executing command 'ap' in plugin AreaProtect v3.1.2
Side note: When I installed WorldGuard, it has a set of permissions but I don't know what WorldGuard permissions to grant users, so I haven't granted any for WG. I'm thinking this might be the cause of this issue...(?)
What permissions should I grant for WorldGuard (or WorldEdit?) for users to use the AreaProtect functionality? Or what else do you think might be the problem?
PS: I'm using Group Manager from the Essentials plugin for permissions.
Thanks.

Posted Mar 4, 2013I need help. For some reason this plugin isn't working for me. I have World Guard and Edit. I'm on minecraft 1.4.7, but the plugin just won't work, I've read through the counsel and I can't find any error message, it's as if my server just isn't picking up on the plugin.

You can if your permission plugin does it, I think in Groupmanager, you can enable/disable perms for certain worlds. So you could only enable the perms for the commands in the creative world.

Yes, open the config file at 'plugins/Areaprotect/config.yml', and you can set the radius limit, you can also create groups so different people can have a different radius limit.
