What it does

The original idea came from here from the server legendaryisland.com. It blocks certain actions if a player (by default) is in creative mode. AntiShare also supports many other features like regions, inventory switching, and more.

Features Supported

Multiple World Support - A configuration for each world
GameMode Regions - Want your PvP arena to be survival? Use GameMode Regions!
GameMode Inventories - An inventory for creative, one for survival, and even one for adventure
GameMode Blocks - Don't let survival players break blocks placed by creative players!
And much, much more - Take a look at the configuration! There are options for nearly every creative restriction option (including changing player levels and economy balances on Game Mode change)

Information regarding the next update

The next update of AntiShare will be a major change. Changes currently include the following. Check back often as this list will be adjusted:

Complete reworking of inner functionality. This will help with the insane amount of resources AntiShare uses
New permissions and commands.
New configuration (with auto-convert)
Smaller footprint on the hard drive (with auto-convert)
More compatibility with other plugins
Removal of fully integrated survival support. This means that although supported by the plugin, it is strongly recommended to use an alternate plugin to deal with protecting your servers from survival mode players. AntiShare is going to be designed with creative players being the bad guys and only prevent survival players from using creative stuff.
Removal of fully independent regions. As this can be done with WorldGuard, AntiShare will no longer support it
Continued limited support of World Splits
Addition of a grouping system to assist with servers that may have donor ranks
Modified support of inventories. This has yet to be fully designed, but the inventory system within AntiShare is going to be adjusted to permit more configuration as well as compatibility.
Added support for potential future platforms. (note: this description is about to get nerdy) AntiShare is going to be following a common API abstraction to allow for more platforms to be supported by the same file. Although there are no active plans to support anything more than Bukkit, the potential for more platforms is being considered while rewriting the plugin. Although this system will increase the file size of the plugin, I do not foresee it affecting performance in a negative way.
Complete rewrite of AntiShare. Yup, that's right. I'm going to be re-writing the plugin from scratch to clean up the code and give me more control over it. It's been quite a while since I've last updated the code, and it's becoming hard to fix issues with, both are sure signs that a rewrite is needed.

I would like to thank the current, and future, users of AntiShare - I hope it is serving you well. I hope you all understand the need for the rewrite and will continue to use AntiShare on your server(s).

I would agree with you. But unfortunately I removed AntiShare, no problems. I put in 3.2.2, no problems. But only 3.3.0 has problems. Any Ideas?

So I enable AntiShare 3.3.0 with all prerequisites and McMyAdmin. Read Timeout and Connections resetting every 15 seconds. Any help?

If either/both of you wouldn't mind type "as debug" into the CONSOLE (as it won't work anywhere else) and sending me the contents of the file to me through pastebin (it will tell you the exact path it exported to, which is the AntiShare plugin folder), it would be a huge help.

The debug file has all your settings for all your worlds/regions as well as your plugins (and their versions), your CraftBukkit and AntiShare versions, as well as various other information. Your SQL settings are automatically censored because I don't want to know what they are.

I have the same problem as you. Antishare does not work! In the Console messages appear:

[AntiShare] Enabled!
[Vault] Enabled And i made test on my localhost. Only PermissionsEx, Vault and AntiShare . I just wish that it would tumble Creative players are not throwing your stuff! The third day of trying to solve this problem. If you can solve the problem, write here please

Its really weird, I tried a fresh restart of a new server with:

craftbukkit-1.2.5-R1.3 Vault - Newest Version PermissionSEX - Fresh Copy - Newest Version AntiShare - Fresh Copy - Newest Version

I restarted several times during the process. When I take away Vault it does stop the items from being thrown and picked up and what the plugin is ment to do BUT when I switch to survival, it is if it didn't change and I can't pick up anything or drop even though I am in survival? This is a AntiShare bug is it not?

Is it something to do with the craftbukkit version?

How can i prevent the use of XP bottles and ender eye use? I put their item numbers in every category of blocked actions and none of them work

I can't reproduce.

If you run PEX, you can NEVER type /reload

If you think it's still a problem, contact the Vault people.

1. I had vault 2. I restarted multiple times 3. I have deopped 4. It was when I put PermissionsEX on it stopped working. 5. If I remove Vault, op works 6. If I then place Vault, Op stops working and so does normal Rank

For basic use of AntiShare, you can go with the op/non-op system. Keep in mind you'll have no control over who can do what besides all or none (based on OP status).

If you want to (for example) allow one player to drop items but not allowed to do other things then you'll need Vault and a compatible permissions plugin.

That is, for correct operation is required Antishare Vault? And if I want to control the Creative players (non OР), without Vault will not work?

AntiShare does not deal directly with PEX, it goes through Vault. If you don't have vault then AntiShare uses OP/Non-OP permissions.

If you do in fact have vault, then I can tell you one of two things happened:

You didn't hand out any permissions, but are oped.
You typed /reload instead of restarting the server

Deop yourself, assign negating permissions, and/or restart your server, and see if that helps.

Hello,

This Plugin is not compatible with permissionsex, I really need it compatible! When I put antishare without permissionsEX in the plugins it works fine. When I put a fresh new copy of PermissionsEX with antishare, antishare allows me to drops items and do other things. I put a fresh copy of permissionsEX with no permission nodes. Please fix this bug!

^ All should be one of the following: true, false, world, global.

True/false are pretty explanatory, world means use the world config values, and global means use the config.yml values.
