What it does
The original idea came from here from the server legendaryisland.com. It blocks certain actions if a player (by default) is in creative mode. AntiShare also supports many other features like regions, inventory switching, and more.
Features Supported
- Multiple World Support - A configuration for each world
- GameMode Regions - Want your PvP arena to be survival? Use GameMode Regions!
- GameMode Inventories - An inventory for creative, one for survival, and even one for adventure
- GameMode Blocks - Don't let survival players break blocks placed by creative players!
- And much, much more - Take a look at the configuration! There are options for nearly every creative restriction option (including changing player levels and economy balances on Game Mode change)

Information regarding the next update
The next update of AntiShare will be a major change. Changes currently include the following. Check back often as this list will be adjusted:
- Complete reworking of inner functionality. This will help with the insane amount of resources AntiShare uses
- New permissions and commands.
- New configuration (with auto-convert)
- Smaller footprint on the hard drive (with auto-convert)
- More compatibility with other plugins
- Removal of fully integrated survival support. This means that although supported by the plugin, it is strongly recommended to use an alternate plugin to deal with protecting your servers from survival mode players. AntiShare is going to be designed with creative players being the bad guys and only prevent survival players from using creative stuff.
- Removal of fully independent regions. As this can be done with WorldGuard, AntiShare will no longer support it
- Continued limited support of World Splits
- Addition of a grouping system to assist with servers that may have donor ranks
- Modified support of inventories. This has yet to be fully designed, but the inventory system within AntiShare is going to be adjusted to permit more configuration as well as compatibility.
- Added support for potential future platforms. (note: this description is about to get nerdy) AntiShare is going to be following a common API abstraction to allow for more platforms to be supported by the same file. Although there are no active plans to support anything more than Bukkit, the potential for more platforms is being considered while rewriting the plugin. Although this system will increase the file size of the plugin, I do not foresee it affecting performance in a negative way.
- Complete rewrite of AntiShare. Yup, that's right. I'm going to be re-writing the plugin from scratch to clean up the code and give me more control over it. It's been quite a while since I've last updated the code, and it's becoming hard to fix issues with, both are sure signs that a rewrite is needed.
I would like to thank the current, and future, users of AntiShare - I hope it is serving you well. I hope you all understand the need for the rewrite and will continue to use AntiShare on your server(s).

EDIT: MAKE A BACKUP BEFORE USING THIS BUILD.
If something goes wrong, your server chunks could be corrupted.

I can't crash my server with /as reload... and the error report does not appear to point blame at AntiShare :/ sorry.
Can you provide me with an upload of a nolagg examine file running for 10 minutes please.

There's a few other minor bugs that need ironing out (mostly just badly written code), but it should be out tonight.

Please try Build 87. Sorry for all the builds... I don't have a large enough server to test with (although I tested it by injecting 12 thousand blocks into it).
My 12k block test (all it really did was simulate players placing blocks) prior to this build reproduced the lag (it even crashed my development server...). With this build I linked (87) however, AntiShare manages to do it's shutdown (or reload) in 5 seconds.
HOPEFULLY that is the last of the "Why is my server dying" bug...
This build is certified for use on CraftBukkit 1.4.6-R0.2 and CraftBukkit 1.4.6-R0.1

Same for me it keeps crashing on saving the blocks. I think thats also the problem why people on my server can mine creative placed blocks. My server cant manage to do a decent restart and im assuming that this is the reason people can mine them afterwards. Also my server crashes immediatly upon /as reload aswell

Survival exp = 60 (example), *change gamemode* Creative exp = 30. It's basically allows them to level up in different gamemodes (to better protect against the exp bottle).

However a shutdown always takes 5 minutes or more because it hangs on "Saving blocks" It really makes every restart a huge pain.

Posted Dec 29, 2012Hey mate people are still reporting that they can mine creative placed blocks in survival after some time :/ No clue when it is tho and when i try a /as reload my server will crash. Did you notice anything odd with the behaviour of creative placed black so far?

Posted Dec 29, 2012Not much to say here, but just a quick suggestion.
What would be nice, is incorporating a feature (if worldguard is available) such that a player who is currently in Creative Mode, can not place any blocks unless they in a region. Obviously worldguard will then check if the region is buildable for them, but even though AntiShare tracks blocks, some players work out weird and mysterious ways of stealing them.

Posted Dec 29, 2012I am still having serious issues on my server with potions. People go to our Creative world, grab a couple of pots, and go to our PvP world, almost invincible and completely invisible as well. I still havent been able to get this to be blocked in any way. Is there a solution for this? or a working plugin? i cant seem to find any other plugin that blocks this either...
I hope there is a way to either block complete use of each and every potion in creative mode or just remove all potion effects on world change!
I already have this in the config file... but it doesnt help: use-items: all
