AntiCheat
AntiCheat development and support was discontinued September 7th, 2014. The previous page is archived here for reference purposes. Official downloads are still available for use as is the project source code. You must use these at your own risk as I can no longer vouch for their rate of success.
There's a "Reloaded" version of this project which has been updated for the newer versions and is under current development. You should give it a look if you're interested in continuing to use AntiCheat: http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/anticheatreloaded/
Thanks to everyone who has supported the AntiCheat project. Recently I have resigned my position as BukkitDev Team Lead and have decided to move on from Bukkit development. Unfortunately, this means that I will no longer be actively working on the AntiCheat source code, and as such I have decided to close the project.
Many thanks to JetBrains who have provided their IntelliJ IDE for development. Thanks to the many contributors to this project who's code helped do good in the community. Thanks to those of you who have provided your support in many different ways to the project: you know who you are, you made my life a lot better and I can't thank you enough for that. I am happy to say that this project has improved people's lives, and I couldn't have ever hoped to say more.

Testing all this now, could you possibly file this on bugs.h31ix.net?

Posted Sep 3, 2012Latest update: now players get kicked non stop for shooting bows. Also players taking damage just walking around? Sucks how many false positives this plugin spits out with each update. Beginning to be more annoying using it and easier to just self monitor players without the plugin....

We're aware. The latest build has that in it's known caveats, and I'm devoting all my resources to finding the source of that issue now.

I used the latest dev build and still happening, I asked to my players if they found anything related to food, and soon after I removed fast eat permission (anticheat.check.fasteat) they started having the same problem again.

Yeah, I know about that issue, and it should be fixed in the latest dev build. Thanks though :P

The issue which I believe all three are talking about is a confusing one.
Anti Cheat correctly logs in the console that a player tried to do something (or whatever). The issue is, that it will then show all players with the "anticheat.system.alert" a message saying a different player was cheating.
It will also log this alert to console (again with the wrong player name). But it is logged alongside the actual warning that a player is trying to break the rules.
If that made sense, great. Hopefully the log might help more though.
Notice that the timings of the alerts is the same as the warning. Also I included a /ver and /pl.

Finally, I do know from earlier in the day - the player who in that log is being falsely alerted to have cheated, they did actually have warnings when they were online.

Does the food issue also exist in 1.3.5... or 283 or whatever?
In any case the food issue wasn't really the one I wanted to solve, I'm just trying to polish a build to push that doesn't have any more bugs (only fixes) than the last release, because I really, desperately need to push a build soon, it's been forever. After that, I'll focus all my attention on the food bug and get that pushed a few days later when fixed. Do you think the newest build only has fixes and no more added bugs from the last major release?

Posted Sep 3, 2012Food issue still there on 285.
When they eat food the hunger bar is loosing hearts instead of going up.
It does work fine without anti-cheat as ive only just put the plugin back at 283.
So for myself can confirm its anti-cheat conflicting or has its own bug.
Edit: My Plugin List (if needed) http://bit.ly/K8zmut
Server IP is in my sig.
Console is clean - no errors.
In-game is clean - no alerts.
Tested with 1.3.2 - (BETA)CB-R0.1 #2352

Hmm.. Weird. Can you try the latest dev build (linked at the top of the page) and tell me if it's still happening?
Also, this is occurring in 1.3.5 as well, right?

If I wanted to do that I would have done so in the first place, instead of creating a new mod.
Here's why:
1) I like simplicity. I think NC+ is powerful, but not simple. I'm looking to make something that is both. I don't think I could do this working with other people that don't have the same vision.
2) I've always been dedicated, and I still am. NC+ has had whatever kind of drama they have, and that ended up in them having more developers than Bukkit does, which simply cannot be a good idea.
3) And citing my original reasons for creation of AntiCheat (which can be found in the Q&A and information pages), I think starting out on a codebase you don't fully understand with something more important as this is a poor choice. Building something from scratch may have also been a poor choice, but it was a gamble I took and it paid off.
4) AntiCheat is more popular than NC+ anyway, lol.
