AntiCheat
AntiCheat development and support was discontinued September 7th, 2014. The previous page is archived here for reference purposes. Official downloads are still available for use as is the project source code. You must use these at your own risk as I can no longer vouch for their rate of success.
There's a "Reloaded" version of this project which has been updated for the newer versions and is under current development. You should give it a look if you're interested in continuing to use AntiCheat: http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/anticheatreloaded/
Thanks to everyone who has supported the AntiCheat project. Recently I have resigned my position as BukkitDev Team Lead and have decided to move on from Bukkit development. Unfortunately, this means that I will no longer be actively working on the AntiCheat source code, and as such I have decided to close the project.
Many thanks to JetBrains who have provided their IntelliJ IDE for development. Thanks to the many contributors to this project who's code helped do good in the community. Thanks to those of you who have provided your support in many different ways to the project: you know who you are, you made my life a lot better and I can't thank you enough for that. I am happy to say that this project has improved people's lives, and I couldn't have ever hoped to say more.

Posted Sep 2, 2012Just an idea, but why don't you join NCP? They have a large development team and if you all shared ideas you could accomplish more as a team.

And what warning is in console when that happens?
@externo6
What are you talking about? You can access a player report by typing /anticheat report [player], furthermore in the latest dev build, their most recent failed check will show up in the alert. What "individual warnings" are you talking about?
@xsonarx
Great. Can you tell me what kind of warnings/check failures the "food issue" is causing to occur?

Not really, but when players eat, he doesn't decrease hunger level and loses the food on hands.
And this just happening with AntiCheat enabled.

Posted Aug 31, 2012Must ask another thing. If you get kicked from "hacking". When you log in is it supposed to say that it is not allowed on the server? I would test the hardcore No Flying. I would get kicked and log back in and it would say fly mod is not allowed. When you log in and out again it would be OK. How come?

Posted Aug 31, 2012Got fed up with NoCheat being unorganized and confusing... I like the simplicity here but... I have a few questions.
I have an Economy map where I like everyone to have fly mod allowed. However ALL members except admins and owners should be limited to a reasonable speed to keep the server lag down. I don't know how to set a speed or limit it.
On our hardcore maps ONLY owners can use fly mod. I got it so that on hardcore you could not fly. (by removing that permission from the hardcore world) I noticed that before I added the permissions at all it told me fly mod not allowed on this server. After I added the permission but not to the Hardcore world it just said no use of hacks allowed when inside the hardcore world. Is the plugin made to know that it is allowed somewhere on the server. So it does not say not allowed on the server. If so WOW. Talk about detail.
Thanks

Would you guys mind telling me which warning a player gets when this 'food glitch' occurs?

Interesting, this may be an obvious question but does your "Citizen" group have any extra permissions that could be causing this? I am really looking for a solution to this problem, but it would seem at first that you might have just added anticheat.check.speed or something to the citizen group that is not present in "guest"

Posted Aug 30, 2012I can tell you for one the speed/jump bug is in some way connected to the default group.
Ours is called Guest - They get auto promoted after 10 mins. For weeks users where getting hammered by anticheats if they ran and jumped, we just said get a clean client. This would stop as soon as they were promoted to citizen. Myself and the other co owner tried and tried to reproduce the bug, we deoped ourselves put our self into the citizen group and nothing could not reproduce it. It was only when one user commented they could run and jump with no problem as soon as they were out of the default group. I then tried putting myself in the guest group again not an op or any by passes and straight away i started was getting hammered by anticheats, waited my 10 mins got promoted to citizen and bang stopped throwing the aniticheats straight away. This experiment was done using a 100% clean client.
We run a cloud network where players can hop to server to server with no client mods each time we created a new server the default group would get hammered. Whatever the name of the default group was. A way we got round it was to use masterpromote and get the user to enter a word on a sign in front of them which put them in a different group. We didn't need to as they didn't need to be promoted on the other severs but it was the only way round the problem. We use PEX for our permissions.
Hope this helps Great Plugin
