AntiCheat
AntiCheat development and support was discontinued September 7th, 2014. The previous page is archived here for reference purposes. Official downloads are still available for use as is the project source code. You must use these at your own risk as I can no longer vouch for their rate of success.
There's a "Reloaded" version of this project which has been updated for the newer versions and is under current development. You should give it a look if you're interested in continuing to use AntiCheat: http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/anticheatreloaded/
Thanks to everyone who has supported the AntiCheat project. Recently I have resigned my position as BukkitDev Team Lead and have decided to move on from Bukkit development. Unfortunately, this means that I will no longer be actively working on the AntiCheat source code, and as such I have decided to close the project.
Many thanks to JetBrains who have provided their IntelliJ IDE for development. Thanks to the many contributors to this project who's code helped do good in the community. Thanks to those of you who have provided your support in many different ways to the project: you know who you are, you made my life a lot better and I can't thank you enough for that. I am happy to say that this project has improved people's lives, and I couldn't have ever hoped to say more.

Posted Jul 30, 2012Can you get this to work with Tekkit? Whenever you place a quarry it starts spamming that [BuildCraft] was kicked for hacking (i think the brackets are apart of the name). So if it just ignored the fake player with that name it would allow Tekkit servers to use this.

I'm not sure why but the antispam filter seems to be broke, Ive therefor added the plugin called "STAB" to counter that.
Hope to see anticheat become more popular now :-) - RIP nocheat and nocheat+ !

Posted Jul 29, 2012Hi everyone. Just to let you know, I am still alive and on top of the NC+ issue as much as I can be from out of the country. Here's a little bit of info I wrote up that I'll copy here:
I've just gotten word of NeatMonsters leave. Unfortunately, I'm currently out of the country, and will return on Wednesday. In a perfect world I'd like to have a talk with NeatMonster and maybe take some of the great ideas he had and work them into AntiCheat. Obviously the reason he stepped down was due to not having enough time though, so I doubt that would work. In any case, I'm excited to see what we can do to make AntiCheat as good as it can possibly be, including working with new people, restructuring, using new hooks that I added in the CB 1.2.5-R5.0 RB, and taking new development paths in order to make up for what was lost with CB+.
As soon as I return I'll be on top of the issue 24/7, until then I won't be able to do a whole lot. Thanks for your support.

Since NoCheat+ is completely gone now this is our only hope left for anti hacking plugins :/
Hope all bugs and issues with anticheat can be fixed soon and that this will be even better then nocheat

Posted Jul 26, 2012I am not sure if this is already reported, but the external ticket-system is not working at the moment so here it is: Anticheats Xray detection is also enabled when players are in creative-mode, that causes false-positives when they're using things like diamond ores.

The permission to allow someone to spam is anticheat.check.spam
As for the allowing op only to be given by the console, H31IX has said to me in the past that he wont be adding this as other plugins can do it.

Posted Jul 25, 2012trying to use the autosneak plugin on my server, giving players the anticheat autosneak check permission to bypass it.. and just gettings tons and tons of this message spamming in console for it.
10:06:50 [INFO] [AntiCheat] trickytaco21 was exempted from the SNEAK check.and now, even after removing the permission to bypass the check the exemption continues to spam the console. wierd.

I run both with no problems. I keep anticheat in silent mode and have it set to kick anyone that gets to high level. My staff know to keep an eye on '/anticheat report' this has worked out well on our 20 player server. SBC only stops a short list of mods and is easy to work around. I know all the checks can be heavy on the CPU so I make sure to give 'anticheat.check.exempt' to long time trusted players and it looks to help.

Posted Jul 24, 2012Deathgleaner while a complete noob jerk who is probably a hacker to begin with actually does have a valid point that pertains to all anticheat plugins. Due to lag or other issues with other plugins/normal minecraft behavior players who are doing nothing wrong are punished. Like my close friend who I set minecraft up for and was playing at my house (so i know he wasnt cheating or using any clients that would allow him to) was having and still is having problems getting out of water, jumping off cliffs and other things of that sort. It doesn't happen all the time but it does happen enough that I was browsing through the forums and came across that noob deathgleaner's post. Hope as this plugin grows you can be the first developer to solve the problem of good users being treated like hackers. Thanks for all you have down for the communty!

Posted Jul 24, 2012I was wondering if there was a permission that I could give to a player or rank that would prevent the command spam true from effecting them. I do not want all players to have this but when my mods or my test account that is a mod tries to use the commands twice in a row it will not let them until they have entered in a different one. Love the plugin just wish I could add that one permission. Thank you:)
Also I just thought of something I have seen in other no hack plugins that would be wonderful if you could incorporate if you have the time and desire. Could you possible add an option to make it so that OP can only be given through console. Ive just learned that session stealing exists and its made me not want to log onto any server at all. Thank for the great plugin!

Posted Jul 23, 2012People expect too much from AntiCheat, including me. What I realize and hope that other people realize that even NoCheat had a growth stage, all plugins will have their bugs, and this is relatively new. Over time it will be much more effective.
