AntiCheat

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of Minecraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

AntiCheat development and support was discontinued September 7th, 2014. The previous page is archived here for reference purposes. Official downloads are still available for use as is the project source code. You must use these at your own risk as I can no longer vouch for their rate of success.

There's a "Reloaded" version of this project which has been updated for the newer versions and is under current development. You should give it a look if you're interested in continuing to use AntiCheat: http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/anticheatreloaded/

Thanks to everyone who has supported the AntiCheat project. Recently I have resigned my position as BukkitDev Team Lead and have decided to move on from Bukkit development. Unfortunately, this means that I will no longer be actively working on the AntiCheat source code, and as such I have decided to close the project.

Many thanks to JetBrains who have provided their IntelliJ IDE for development. Thanks to the many contributors to this project who's code helped do good in the community. Thanks to those of you who have provided your support in many different ways to the project: you know who you are, you made my life a lot better and I can't thank you enough for that. I am happy to say that this project has improved people's lives, and I couldn't have ever hoped to say more.

B433 - still suffers from wrong name on alerts. I'm not sure if uve tinker'd with this in the past.

I just had an alert for a person offline - but the user online was using fast place :D

Last release is still stable @ CB 1.4.7 R1.0? I'd like to install this plugin, NoCheatPlus just does not work right since latest CB releases. Hope this one does.

Is there a way for Ops to not recieve the warnings in game?

Also It seems magic spells the leap spell doesnt seem to work , any work around?

anticheat.

Nocheat is rubbish, dosent work well, dosent block hacks correctly, i still see hackers using forcefield and flying around.

Anticheat does not block all hacks, and has a fly hack that can bypass it, as well as a sprint and forcefield and speed hack that bypasses it, however it blocks most hacks, and does it effectivley with little lag.

Which is the best anticheat?

AntiCheat or NoCheatPlus? I am starting to thinking to trust AntiCheat due to it's downloads counter is higher than NoCheatPlus but I also heard a rumors that AntiCheat configuration is alot more messy than NoCheatPlus so the error checks should be more many on AntiCheat.

So which plugins I must use? I love lightweight plugins but I also love plugins that having more security.

You don't even have to read the whole page, just look to your darn question and read the answer.

Well that depends on what plugin you're using to kick people but probably nothing. Almost everything uses the Player.kick() function; I don't really know another way to do it. AntiCheat too uses this function.

The only reason I could foresee immediately without looking into anything for this happening is that you're using a MultiCraft plugin to do your kicking and it doesn't recognize kicks outside of its own. That's a little silly, but in any case I want to stress that this is NOT an AntiCheat issue. AntiCheat uses only the built in bukkit kick method and is not different than any other plugin on this website in the way it does it. If you're having this issue, it sounds like a MultiCraft issue.

Whats the difference from me kicking a player to anticheat kicking a player? here's why i ask. I use a Minecraft host that users multicraft control panel.

if i kick the player from (ingame or console) - the players name in "Connected players" in multicraft panel goes away.

if anticheat kicks the player for hacking the name stays there like a dead name (but shows the server count with that name still logged into the server until restart).

I did it didn't tell me anything really though I want to disable noswing so bad it keeps messing up :'(

Is it possible to disable some things like fast place and or break it is kicking people who rant hacking (myself)

It does save the cheat level, just not the number of times they used each one. As far as xray goes, think about it. Would you really want it to be persistent? One day a user who has, for months previously, been totally clean of all hacks decides to install an xray mod and goes to town. AntiCheat won't even think they're hacking for weeks or months on end because their "normal" to "special" block ratio is so low because of all the "legit" blocks they've mined for months. If it doesn't reset on startup, you're going to have this issue.

For some reason it doesn't save cheat levels or xray stats over server restarts. Once I stop and then restart the server all the hack levels and xray stats are gone even though the log is still intact.

As with anything, if they modify default values for stuff that could be considered hacking, they need to implement our API to achieve compatibility.
