Anonymous Deaths
This is a very simple plugin that changes the way deaths are handled. It takes the default Minecraft deaths and turns it into a system similar to the Hunger Games.
For those of you who haven't read / seen the hunger games, deaths are anonymous. Everyone knows when someone dies, you just don't know who it was. This plugin changes the standard Minecraft "$name has died." message and changes it to "Someone has died"
In the hunger games, at night, a list of who died that day was projected into the sky. This plugin has a command which will disable chat, have a list of all deaths and then re enable chat, which could be used at night to emulate the Hunger Games.
The only command is:
/deathroll
This starts a deathroll, and requires the permission 'anondeath.roll' to use.
I plan to add more configuration in the future, changing messages and death roll styles.

Do you have any other chat plugins installed? It could be a problem with them overwriting my cancelling the PlayerChatEvent.

Posted Apr 20, 2012This addon is not disabling chat when the deathroll is in progress. Could you please look into it? Thanks.

Yeah, I coded this for a Hunger Games server the my community is working on. The head gamemaker said he wanted it to be as close to the books as possible, so this was what I made. :)

Posted Apr 16, 2012I see a future for this plugin. Someone dies: Someone has died and a BOOM. Then when night falls, $name, $name have died :D
