Airplanes

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of Minecraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

General

Airplanes allows you to create airports and fly with airplanes. Also you can use some weapons.

Features

Create airports
Travel with airplanes (minecarts)
Use weapons
Configurable airplane speed
Configurable travel height

Commands

/ap - Shows a list of commands

/ap help - Shows a list of commands too

/ap create [name] - To create the given airport

/ap remove [name] - To remove the given airport

/ap tp [name] - To teleport to the given airport

/ap pilot [name] - To travel to the given airport

/ap list - Shows a list of all airports (not the airports from version 0.1)

Permissions

ap.* - Access to all commands

ap.help - To use /ap or /ap help

ap.create - To use /ap create

ap.remove - To use /ap remove

ap.teleport - To use /ap tp

ap.pilot - To use /ap pilot

ap.list - To use /ap list

ap.travel - To travel with airplanes

ap.tnt - To use tnt bombs

ap.mg - To use machine guns

Configuration

travel height: 120
#at wich height should players travel
travel speed: 2
#pay attention please, this value is recommended
start speed: 0.5
#with wich speed should airplanes start
enable tnt bombs: true
#enable or disable tnt bombs
enable machine guns: true
#enable or disable machine guns

How to use

1. Create an airport with /ap create. Example: /ap create Test

2. Enter a Minecart and type /ap pilot Test, to travel to the airport Test.

3. Be creative :D

4. Battle? Just sneak while traveling to shoot tnt bombs below you. Or left klick in the air to shoot arrows.

1) You could make that with rails and booster rails. ;)

2. Currently i'm working on the completely rewriting of this plugin, adding economy support, adding sign interactions, adding more airport functions and a few more things... Step by step :D

Hey i has some suggestions :)!

1) U shoulld make these "planes" need to takeoff from a 10/20 long runway :)

2) Dont fly straight up but flying up and forwarding, and if there are trees or other obsticles in the way, the airplane explodes?

3) Maybe some "random-problems" like 1 of the 15 times a airplane crashes or some?

Idk if these things are possible, but i woulld love it :)! Keep on with the good works :P!

Use Vault, As it hooks into any Economy plugin that uses Vault which is basically all of them.

For now i wouldn't change the airplanes to schematics, because there are already plugins to fly with own buildings. But i could add some other things like passenger aircraft and military aircraft. Also i'll add some of the other things, but you have to wait :D

I have some comments. i would use this if you changed the air plane somehow, because minecarts are kinda.....you know...classy. If you could make airplane schematics and move the blocks 1 by 1, that would be more effective, and also there should be a region for airports in which there is messages, and flights etc. Then you could have ppl waiting for flights, maybe npcs for servants, and you can only fly from airport to airport. Then you could add a epic feature of military base in which you can use planes that can drop bombs and shoot arrows and fire bombs etc. I hope you change those things, it will be the MOST BEST PLUGIN EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) :) Looking forward to it :)

i have a few suggestions,

1. Can you make it area specific(enabled/disable), I mean they can only travel to a airport from another.

2. Make it work with economy plugins make allow people to purchase airports or use them, possibly with money being paid to the airport owner.

3. Allow sign interaction with airport destinations listed on signs that you could click on to fly to that location. Basically, if I made a terminal on rails that stops at signs while your in the cart and allows you to choose.

My server (ubuntu) Can't get java 7, it just isn't possible.

Why should i downgrade?? Im sorry, please updata to Java 7.
