AirJump
AirJump adds a completely new mechanic - the ability to jump in the air!
How do I use AirJump?
Simple, just jump then hold shift.
If I'm falling and I am holding shift, why do I air jump?
This is a bonus mechanic! You know those situations where you're falling to your death? Hold shift and you'll be boosted. Get on that edge!
Wait, then won't players be able to fly?
Each time you air jump your hunger increases by 0.5 (half a chicken leg), this means the number of times players can air jump is limited.
Are there any commands or configurations?
Nope! AirJump is super simple.
How about permissions?
We do have permissions. For more information see our permissions page: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/airjump/pages/permissions/
I'd like to see the plugin in-action before I download!
Sure! Watch the Video Preview, and if you don't like it, suggest something to be changed!

It took me a while to figure out how to do this; and by a while I mean multiple days to get it just right. Anyway, this is public domain and I'm not stopping you from decompiling :-)

You can simply deny them the .use permission node

Posted Oct 15, 2012Where could I find some source code for this? I'd like to see how this was done for learning purposes and possibly tweak it a bit for my own server.

Posted Jul 20, 2012Well, it is a double jump. You jump once, land, and jump an extra block higher. It would be nice if you could change the way it damages you! I would like that. So if you fall really high, then press the double jump key, it does the small leap, and you land with the damage reduced. I would like that.

Posted Jul 6, 2012I think it has too much delay, when i jump and i press shift in midair the jump is activated when i get land... so is just like another normal jump, with the difference if i jump with it in the air i can "fly". Will you add configurable delay and hunger? :) Also the video account has been closed XD

I don't think that would look/feel nice. I will fix the damage in the next update though. :-)

Posted Jun 29, 2012can you make it so players stand on a single piece of glass for 1 second so they could jump again? The way you have it, its hard to tell if your double jumping and you get damaged if you jump too high

Not possible to do that without a client mod.

Posted Jun 13, 2012Can you update this so they dont lose speed when they are in the air?
I wanted this plugin to be a double hit space or the space then shift is fine.
But the plugin as it is makes you go very slow while on the second jump
