AdvancedSelector
Ever wanted to make your own Server/World/Minigame Selector? Well with this plugin you can!
It is really easy!
Features
- Give Selectors to players on various ways.
- Make easy world transportation Selectors / Inventories.
- Have as many Selectors and Inventories as you want!
- Change the names / lores / enchantments of an item in an inventory / a selector
Installation
- Make sure your server is running the version that fits with the version you are about to download.
- Download the AdvancedSelector.jar and place it in your plugin folder.
- Load it by restarting your server. (Or load it via other pluginloaders)
- Done! You can now make changes in the configuration.
- Use '/as reload' or restart your server to apply the changes.
Bugs / Suggestions
If you find any bugs or if you have a suggestion, leave a message in the comments.
Example
A Selector (Which will respond when you interact with it):
You can create multiple selectors with different uses.
An Inventory (Which will open when you interact with a Selector)
You can add items in this inventory. When you click on those items a command will be executed or another inventory will open.

Should be possible. When u click an item inside an inventory u should put that item's InteractType to 'Inventory' and InteractValue to '- AnotherInventoryName'.

Posted Apr 30, 2015Very cool! Only one other menu plugin that I have found has this ability and it has a security hole and I would rather not use it. This feature is vital to the menu system I am creating for my server.

Posted Apr 16, 2015This is a really good looking plugin that would allow me to make a menu system for my players. The only thing it does not have that I am looking for is the ability to put player prompts in the command to prompt the player for info in the chat that is needed to run the command.
Example:
Create a selector to run the following command:
/t new {Enter Town Name}
When the selector is interacted with, the player is prompted for the town name in the chat like:
Enter Town Name:
Player enters the name for the town and presses the enter key and then the command is execute with what the player entered in the chat as the town name.
This ability should be able to handle one or more prompts in a command.
Is this something you could add?

Yes, read the config help page. You can also give the selector when players walk over a certain block, lets say the block they spawn on, once they logged in it'll be given to them.

v1.3 is pretty old and I can't remember if the reload command was working good. Try turning your server off. Save the changed version. Start your server again. Check if the config is wiped. If so Post a pastbin link here with your changed version so I can take a look if your format is wrong. If that's the case then there should be an error while starting up the server.

No I don't seem to be getting errors when loading the plugin. The only time problems arise is once i start editing the config file. Once i try to reload it with "/asreload" it wipes the file instead of loading it into the server.

I'm having a bit of difficulty adding new items to the config file. Everytime I try to reload the config, it completely wipes the file. In creating the new item, I copied the example item and just made changes to that, however it still doesn't work. Any chance you could post a complete config file, that works, for reference? I have v1.3.

I looked at the config tut. but it didn't show/say anything about IneractValue as far as I could tell.

Did you follow the instructions on the config help page? Adding an item is explained there. Also, you can't add an item to a selector. Selectors are the items that you interact with ingame which opens an inventory. You can however add items in an inventory. I guess that is what you meant, if not, now you know.
