Advanced Checkpoints
Advanced Checkpoints
This plugin is about making checkpoints, and when a player dies, he will be able to continue the level from the last checkpoint he reached. I created this plugin as a request, and I didn't look after how many checkpoint plugins are out there. Then I saw that there are some already, I decided to make mine more advanced to be different.
Read here how it works.

And still no 2.0 guys sorry :S I have my finals now, in a week I'll be free, then I finish my works on releasing the new working versions of my main plugins, and maybe upload my addons for them in their current state. It may take a few days, after that I can finish this 2.0 easily. Anyways, this was (and is) my first plugin ever made, it would be a shame not to complete it :D I created so complex stuff in CleverCommand and ZureZones, compared to them this is like having fun with code really :)
If you're still interested in the plugin I apologise for making you wait. This time it won't be delayed.
EDIT: a few hour - later I'm started to hack on ACP, and it seems working very well. The TagStructured database is okay, the data gets saved and loaded perfectly. The commands get fully rewritten, as the create, delete and info commands already got. Of course I add additional commands, like "/acp goto <checkpoint>" will teleport you to the given cp (if you have permission to it). Create, delete, and info commands are shortened like:
And small additions which make things easier like:
"/acp info p:<playername>"I plan making command for set a player's checkpoint. For checkers there is also upgrades: checkers now can be flaged as "teleporter" which means when you step on it, it will automatically teleport you to the checkpoint. Oh and it woths to be mentioned, that the command menu is rewritten, if you enter a command without arguments it will show all your possibilities to choose.

Posted Jun 29, 2014I use the latest dev version of bukkit to develop, altrough I usually do not use many of the bukkit functions, only the basics. I'll check for 1.7.4 compatibility as well if you want :)

Posted Jun 10, 2014Here is the end of my school year, so now I wil care about my plugins too. Now I completed my Penalty plugin, which was nearly complete. The development of its planned features are also under process. Now when I finish my studies for the year on next Monday, I'll switch to this plugin. The database file will change, and some features, but the core will be the same. I apologise for waiting so long, I really wanna know this plugin as a working, whole plugin. I hope I'll do this as soon as possible.

Posted Mar 17, 2014If you do complete this plugin- you will have the best, most option rich plugin for checkpoints out there- It would really be awesome if you finished it ;) This plugin comes in handy with so many different types of worlds- and since you can command sudo a persons checkpoints, It replaces some of the buggy-ness of beds, and set home- Plus you can link items to commandwarp you back to your checkpoint!
I hope you work on it! Such great potential

Posted Mar 17, 2014Sorry guys this was my first plugin I wrote sure it has bugs that I should fix. If I get to fix them the half of its code will be replaced :D But I want to complete this plugin. Currently I working on some plugin projects, but when I'll have time I'll upload a fixed version.
@mrretrus yes it was intended to be in that folder :) That's a bug.
@DreamPhreak Yep it is kinda strange of work, I already don't know how does it work. So basically I'll write most of its code to a better.

Posted Mar 17, 2014It does the same thing for me- puts a .java file under the folder- nothing in the folder- and to add to it the commands dont work! I do acphelp to get a list of commands- none of those commands work- and they are all listed as /checkpoint - even when i try /acp set or /acp list it says "unknown checkpoint command" so i cant even test this plugin out :\

Posted Mar 16, 2014Im wondering if i found a bug:
ACP creates the plugins/ACP folder, but theres nothing inside. and next to the ACP.jar, theres ACP\checkpoints.java file. Was that intended to be inside that ACP folder?
Also, Server restarted, all the checkpoints are still there but they dont activate anymore.

Thanks for the timely response, it was a nice coincidence that we both came to bukkit at this time :)
Yes you got it right, a life counter option for check points, I feel this could add lots of versatility and usefulness to this plugin especially in regards to our servers dungeon designs/layouts.
I'll be checking in periodically to see any updates. Thanks again for your time Davesama

Posted Nov 15, 2013I think yea, it's possible to do. You commented the right time, did you see i'm active again? Because I had a break of playing minecraft, but started to continue my plugins and visit bukkit.org some days before. But back to the topic, you want to count the dies and do something if it reaches a number. I think it's easy to do for me. When I'll have time I will do.

Posted Nov 14, 2013Is there any way you could add expirations to checkpoints? To effectively act as "lives"....so for example, a player reaches a check point but then dies 3 times before reaching the next check point, they then have to start over.
Thanks for your time.

Posted Jul 26, 2013Currently I'm working on another plugin, but video tutorial... if you want a video tutorial you must wait, first of all I've never created any video tutorial. (but my opinion is that my tutorial text is good enough to learn all the things about this plugin.) If your ask is about what video recording program I use, then I tell you, nothing yet :) If you want to see how it works ingame (unless you try it yourself) then there is an option that we can speak on skype with screen-share. I don't think that video will be done in the near future. But if you mean what program I use for making plugins, I use Eclipse > Java Project as I saw on video tuts on youtube.
