Advanced Bans
Advanced bans allows you to Temporary and Permanently ban players from your server. You can now have more control about your bans with both IP and Nickname banning.
We hope to have version 2.0 ready soon! Progress: 49,85%.

Commands / permissions:
* advbans.ban - /ban <name> [time in minutes] [reason...] - ban player (if player is offline, plugin will use ip history) (example: /ban kyku 15 Spam) * advbans.unban - /unban <name> - unban player (example: /unban kyku) * advbans.banip - /banip <ip address> [time in minutes] [reason...] - ban player on ip AND NAME (using ip history) (example: /banip 127.0.0.1 60 Spam) * advbans.unbanip - /unbanip <ip address> - unbanip player (example: /unbanip 127.0.0.1) * advbans.kick - /kick <name> [reason] - kick player (example: /kick kyku spam)
The first author of this plugin was Kyku. Since then this plugin has been remodeled to use the new bukkit configuration system.

That is unfortunate to hear. The plugin is only supposed to open about 5 connection and then pool those for all players / ban actions.
I will take a look at that. I'm not sure when the next release will be though. (My intent is to atleast have a update for 1.6)

Posted Jul 3, 2013Hi, I am a hosting provider and I've got some customers happily using your plugin for Minecraft. After checking out the MySQL usage stats by the bans user, I've got a hint for the next release.
Would it be possible to close the database connection after the transaction has been done and would it be possible not to open the connection if it's not needed?
My database servers indicate that that the plugin opens a connection after every player joined, but doesn't close it.
It would increase the performance and spares bandwidth.

Ban.yml don't store Players ips who arent banned. Ips are stored only when you ban a Online player.
