What is the issue?
I made a plugin, but am new to coding in general. Do I have to do anything special to be compatible with your permission plugin?
The permission defaults work (the ones I set up in my plugin.yml, but I can't modify them by assigning permissions to groups. I only think I might because I know that there are some plugins that don't support your plugin.
So: Do I have to do anything special to make permissions work with your plugin.

As long as you are just doing basic permission checks, there is nothing special you need to do.
