This plugin for bukkit allows you to create transmitters and receivers of redstone power.
Installation
Just copy the jar file to your plugins folder and load it.
Usage
Place a sign with the following lines somewhere:
- transmitter
- <channelname>
You can replace "<channelname>" with anything you like. As soon as you're finished editing the sign, the first line changes to "[Transmitter]". This means, the sign got recognized and the plugin is working correctly.
Afterwards place another sign somewhere else with the following lines:
- receiver
- <channelname>
"<channelname>" should be the same value, you put on the transmitter sign (case-sensitive). As with the transmitter sign, the first line also changes to "[Receiver]".
After this is done, you can connect the transmitter to some powered redstone. As soon as this is done, the receiver sign should change to a redtorch.

I'm currently investigating a bug with pistons when you place the sign on the piston; it drops a lot of torches when activated. Is that what you mean?
@colony88
I fixed your bug in v1.2.1.

I found (at least one of) the bug(s), it was a pretty severe one though. Should've found it earlier.
Try v1.2.

Posted Nov 3, 2011O I realized you need two rdstdust at the receiver to work. This has nothing to do with pistons. So, the two bugs I found: You need two redstone "pieces" in order to get it work. And if the sign changes into a redstonetorch is doesn't power the redstone. In stead it does power it when it turns back into a sign. Maybe if the second problem is solved the first one will also work well...

Can you please open a ticket with as much information as possible?
I'll look into updating it for the most recent bukkit version. Edit: Already updated it. Should've worked though.
