First of all, what the heck is a VirtualChest?
A Virtual Chest is a chest that can't be accessed in the "physical world of minecraft" there is no block, nothing (except for a sign, if so desired). That means that you are the only one who can use it, items cannot be stolen, and you will not lose it when you die (configurable).
You can access whenever you want just by typing a command or using the "magical wand" (default is 56 (chest). Like in the game there is 2 types of chest, Large and Normal. You can use a virtual chest as an "envelope" to send a package of items to an other player's virtual chest. If one chest is not enough for you, you can buy more Virtual Chests. By default the limit of these is 10, but you can customize this however you want. You can also send other people the contents of your chests.
Features:
- Every player have their own chest (depending on Permissions)
- And can buy additional chests if they want to
- You can send the content of your chest to a Friend
- Offline mode works (depending on what you put in the config file)
- Autogenerated config file at first launch.
- AutoSaver makes you sure that you will not lose chest content
- 2 type of chest, Large and Normal (like in the game)
- Normal type is upgradeable ingame
- Max-Range configurable.
- Work with any items like coloured Wool, Dye etc ...
- You can set a sign to avoid your player to use there chest everywhere
- Open other people's chests! (If having the permissions node)
- Support for All Economy Plugins with Vault.
- Support Essentials Reload Command
- IMPORTANT :If you use an Economy plugin you NEED Vault

Posted Aug 22, 2012I'm considering removing the sign feature and just having people use another plugin to bind it to a sign. It's sort of ugly and it doesn't allow for custom text on the sign. I'd recommend you move your signs now to another plugin, such as CommandSigns. You can just not give the open perm and use /^ instead of / on the signs.

Not as far as I recall, no.
However, I know that people are using this and I will notify @zonedabone and see if he can do something about it.
When you are writing "to see", are you thinking of doing a command to open the chest like a real chest, or are you talking about being able to find a file which contains the information and can be opened in a program like INVEdit or NBTEdit?

Posted Aug 15, 2012Hello, i am having one small problem, i have auto stacking disabled, but if someone puts something in their chest, logs out, and logs back on, it auto stacks everything in the chest. Please fix this, as it is easy to dupe with auto stacking.

Posted Aug 12, 2012I'd like to report that the auto-update system is working flawlessly. Already version 6.5.2 (Which contained a major dupe bug) has been fully upgraded out of the system. Hooray! I'm hoping that 6.5.4 will be universal by later today.

This is done using commandsigns. All you have to do is configure each sign to run "/gp set normal# default" The "#" is replaced with the chest number.
