TerrainControl is an advanced world generator. Through various configuration files it gives the user control over almost every aspect of Minecraft terrain generation, with no knowledge of Java required. It can be used on Bukkit or Forge servers and on singleplayer with Forge. TerrainControl is the successor to the old PhoenixTerrainMod, which was based on the popular BiomeTerrainMod.

Metrics
As of Terrain Control 2.4.13, the plugin sends some stats to mcstats.org, a service by Hidendra and others. You can view the stats here. Terrain Control won't upload your configs, it will only send your BiomeMode along with some information of your computer. You can toggle it off by setting opt-out to true in the metrics config file. More information is available on this wiki page.

How to use

TerrainControl is more complex than most Bukkit plugins, so it may take a while to get into - but the results are worth it. If you want to create your own world, be sure to check our documentation. If you have done some reading and still have problems using TerrainControl, just post to our forums and we'll try to figure it out.

Posted Mar 11, 2012@Dinastya Hi,
just looked in short...and had an Idea:
Did You try to copy the old map to the save folder (world folder) of Your MC 1.2.3 (used in SSP) and let it load / convert as a SSP world?
(...has been a former suggestion I´ve made a time ago, as far as I remember)
This may / will convert the old style world to new standarts.
After this has happend, copy it converted now back again to the server world folder and give it a try.
May be a kind of solution, worked in my tests for some old worlds sometimes well at my local server.

Yeah my map is still corrupt and really messed up. So i'm just working on a new map and will reset everything :S Had not really a other choice. Minecraft 1.2 just broke to much and terraincontrol seem to have changed things. So after i updated tc other biomes are loading on the same places. And that will lead in to corruption and really messed up chunks. So i will just remake everything :/

Posted Mar 11, 2012Glad you got things working Dinastya, more than I can say for myself, I just tried with the new dev build and latest bukkit and it still gives me a WorldInitEvent error. I created an issue for this but would really like to know at this point if our map is corrupt and unconvertable.
Its the only thing holding us back at this point, all other plugins are working fine.

Hi Khoorn, ahhh, I understand... If You are still working on block replacement, it can´t work now ;-) in dev 2.1.1, okay.
Okay too if -6 is normale setting with level 8 on. I use now -6.5 at oceanBiomeConfig.ini and rivers to -6, all landbiomes to -3.0 and so on.
To get the Extreme HillsBiome looking much more realistic / nice, I´m still testing...but tomorrow.
Surface block "problem" was my stupid mistake in configs. I´m very sorry about this. It works 100% okay.
I will be very interested to get the block exchange working soon, good luck to get it done and thanks a lot in advance.
As I told before....my family is asking to go offline now ... the hard way ;-))
Best regard, mysource

Posted Mar 11, 2012@deleted_6846210 Extreme settings ? Biome height = 0 equivalent half world height with default setting in world config. So - 6 is normal settings.
And may tell me more about surface block. Better with ingame screenshots.
Also my bad english ... My last post i mean " Now working on replace fix".

Hi,
as 1000 time been told and clearly to read, You have to adjust every single bo2 to the biome, the height, the spawnrate and so on to match YOUR WORLDS BIOMES !!!
Example:
I use my jungle biome named Urwald (jungle in Deutsch / German ;-)
Soo if You don´t have a biome named Urwald, nothing of my jungle trees will spawn, logic or not?
So, it´s a little work with Notepad to get it customozed to Your demands.

Posted Mar 11, 2012I added all the bo2's from mysource and wessex but for some reason the trees don't seem to all spawn together like in the example images. I just get 1-3 trees together.
Does anyone have a download or anything to get a world with terrains like the ones in the example pictures in the main post?

Hi Khorn,
You are really, really sure this is a new version now You uploaded as dev 2.1.1 ???
Nothing is working, all 100% same as dev 2.1.0 before.
I need the same extreme -settings and block exchange doesn´t work at all still, even now the surface block doesn´t work as before, if I try to change it...
Did You realy test it by Yourself and get this updated things working ????
I can´t belive this...seems like mixed up the old version with the new name 2.1.1
(Sorry, but this version is even worser as the one I tested before ... and wasted me an other hour now).
For today, I will stop now with "playing" around to get the settings done...and quit beeing online now.
Bye for now

Posted Mar 11, 2012hmmm I'm just trying to make a copy of my old world but then a clean one. But when i use the same configs i get a complete different world :/ And it's snow everywhere. Any reason why i'm not getting the same map again? It took me 2 weeks to get the map exact so it are 10 biomes in 1 map. I don't want a map with small biomes and everything so i finally made it so there are 10 zones with 10 different biomes and now its just 2 biomes with the same map size and the same settings :S I don't really have time to work on a map like i had again since my current map is totally corrupted and unusable and i got hundreds of players online who want to play.

Hi Cameron,
thanks too for Your offer.
But the setup of the website isn´t any problem, to fill it with the right and helpful content is the task for the next time.
The site itself is set up in a few minutes by myself and in a way, I have 100% access by myself and ftp !
....
@Dinastya: :-)
I thought at least it has to be the wrong bukkit version, which produced Your problems.
Problem solved now I think.
...............
@EmporiumOfGaming:
If You send (Email please with files in zip included) me Your world / Configs, I will look in it and may be test it and try to see what will cause the missing vegetation.
Best regard
