TerrainControl is an advanced world generator. Through various configuration files it gives the user control over almost every aspect of Minecraft terrain generation, with no knowledge of Java required. It can be used on Bukkit or Forge servers and on singleplayer with Forge. TerrainControl is the successor to the old PhoenixTerrainMod, which was based on the popular BiomeTerrainMod.

Metrics
As of Terrain Control 2.4.13, the plugin sends some stats to mcstats.org, a service by Hidendra and others. You can view the stats here. Terrain Control won't upload your configs, it will only send your BiomeMode along with some information of your computer. You can toggle it off by setting opt-out to true in the metrics config file. How to use

TerrainControl is more complex than most Bukkit plugins, so it may take a while to get into - but the results are worth it. If you want to create your own world, be sure to check our documentation. If you have done some reading and still have problems using TerrainControl, just post to our forums and we'll try to figure it out.

Downloads

You'll always find the newest approved stable builds here. As of 2.4, the files will work on both Bukkit and Forge servers (without the need of something like MCPC+) and on singleplayer with Forge. Installation instructions can be found here.
Development builds of this project can be acquired at the provided continuous integration server. These builds have not been approved by the BukkitDev staff. Use them at your own risk.

That appears to be an error with MV not this, Not all World mangers support every generator.
Personally Myworlds is by far the best world manger as it is compatible with almost anything and I looked into MV but again as I used to use but switched to Myworlds as it was more flexible and a ton easier to use.

Also "Isleinbiome" and "BorderBiome" do not keep settings and do not create configs. Set from WorldConfig
If you can get a quick fix out in the next 30mins that would be very much appreciated, I am on a deadline for making this world.
Thanks for these updates btw and the explanation. have I gotten the Explanation correct ? in the thread.
Edit: I change my vote for bo2 to sch, Would not mind a better bo2 tool tho one that or an maybe a bo3 that supports custom biome and a new tool to go with it.

change hills "BiomeSize:3" and this makes the 100% hills.. "BiomeSize:5" and i have no hills..same with other biomes.. can only use the default size...
anyone have the same problem?

Nice world with nice deserts and swamps, and much in between. And Ocean to the left and right. Not sure what will happen to the north and south, but I like that setup, it makes a nice continent, and not just a random water-land world. Now just need Ice :)

I would like to add just somes BO2 files to a newly generated map, but with the vanilla generator. (i guess i want to use vanilla generator with TC populator ?). Right now, when i try to generate with tc (default conf), populator seems to works fine (my bo2 trees are there ..) but the map is different from a vanilla map ... (tried with seed 1004974592 and many other).
Is there a way to "just" use the populator like the old plugins bo2populator ?

thank You, thank You, thank You very much for this stage of the Mod.
I found my "solution" by reading all of the 22 pages here.
The Link to the TerrainControl v1.2.1 Version was great.
This works now perfectly with Bukkit 1549 / Minecraft 1.0 and f.i. my "old" bo2 Trees (from the former PTM and MC 1.7.3 times):
As everyone can see, MoCreatures is working in Multiplayer too (but I don`t know why and how...)
...but everyone can see 3 brown Horses left the big tree at the ground and all the other Creatures are spawning in SMP/Bukkit world too...:-)))...
The bo2`s in that Screenshot are my BigTree and Saguaro Cacti, "only" the Palmtrees are not my own work.
Now I´m waiting "only" for the "WaterShader-Mod" (will be ready around X-Mas I hope)

from the other genius and my personal MC-Serverworld is perfect again in MC 1.0/Bukkkit1549 (which now used by myself)
2 personal wishes:
1. Please stay with the bo2-Filesystem, minimum let it be still in the final version of the "TerrainControl-Mod".
2. Please set up a "Wiki" or Tutorial about all the parameters (settings) in the different config-files of Your Mod. (manything is a little selfexplaining to me, but...)

i ask this, if i have finished the map and a new version came out and change anything in the config, that my map doesnt change (fixed world size)

Posted Dec 6, 2011the funny thing is, when I turn off ice plains and ice mountains, it will change the world, even when they are not used! :)
Cant wait for the next update, I really like it so far, the ice thing is the only one I'm missing.

Posted Dec 6, 2011hmm another bug?: not much monster/animals, 2 sheeps, 1 spider, 2 creeper (inclusive underground) on 1k x 1k..
my world is nearly perfect for me (but withouth snow-biomes) http:i.imgur.com/MJhRA.jpg biome color fix + dynmap color scheme, and snow spawn by hand with worldedit or mc edit, but works only with the one seednumber.. another seednumbers makes only one big ocean with ice surfaces

Oh by the way, on http://dereknor.dyndns.org:8123 you can see the world being generated :) at the end it will have big ocean on the left and right side, I already rendered it yesterday, just made some changes to the biomes
