I'm too lazy to upload TARDIS files to Bukkit anymore, as builds are automatically created when the plugin is updated and changes pushed to GitHub.

Please make sure you are using the latest Spigot/Paper builds (for the Minecraft version you are running) before installing TARDIS or creating an issue!

What it does

TARDIS is a plugin that gives you the ability to create a Police Box that lets you time travel (teleport) to random locations. It adds a Whovian twist to the typical /sethome and /home commands.

As a player, you can:

Create a TARDIS that is bigger on the inside.
Time travel to a random location.
Time travel back home (where you created the TARDIS initially).
Save and list interesting time travel locations, so you can return to them easily.
Take companions with you when you time travel.
Make your TARDIS blend in with the Chameleon Circuit.
Use your own schematic to build the TARDIS interior
Grow new TARDIS rooms
Use Artron Energy
Remote control the TARDIS
Custom TARDIS sounds with companion Resource Pack
Custom TARDIS textures with companion Resource Pack

Installation

As a minimum, just drop the TARDIS.jar, TARDISChunkGenerator.jar (look under Additional Files on the download page) and any optional plugins listed below into the Bukkit plugins folder and start your server. For more detailed instructions see: https://tardis.pages.dev/installation-v5

Optional installs

These are not needed for TARDIS to function, but enhance the plugin with extra features...

Install the TARDIS-SoundResourcePack in the Minecraft client to hear custom TARDIS sounds
Install the TARDIS-Resource-Pack to see aal the fancy textures and models (requires TARDIS v4.2 or higher).
Install the TARDISChunkGenerator plugin so that you can generate TARDISes in their own self-contained world (included on the TARDIS plugin download page under Additional files).
Install WorldGuard to automatically protect your TARDIS from griefing, and stop mobs spawning in TARDIS worlds.
Install TARDISWeepingAngels to add some Whovian mobs to the game.
Install a Permissions plugin, so that you can restrict or grant players the rights to use TARDIS’ different features. We like PermissionsBukkit.

WARNING: I am no longer prepared to waste my time looking at incomplete tickets. If your ticket does not follow the guidelines set out below, it will be deleted immediately!

Make sure you have read the FAQs first, as your question may already be answered there. Also make sure you have searched for a previous ticket with the same/similar issue (use the Filters to search closed tickets).

If you are going to create a BUG ticket you need to supply relevant information (as I'm not a mind reader, nor do I have access to your server...) - as a minimum you need:

Exact CraftBukkit version i.e. NOT 'the latest' - use the /tardis version command if possible, otherwise copy from server log
Exact TARDIS version i.e. NOT 'the latest' - use the /tardis version command if possible, otherwise copy from server log
The server log showing the entire error (as a paste or at Pastebin - NOT a screenshot) - this should be the log from when the server starts up right through to when the error occurs
If no error in the log, then a video of the bug happening or the EXACT steps needed to reproduce the issue.
Attach your plugins/TARDIS/config.yml file or other configuration file if relevant
Attach your plugins/TARDIS/TARDIS.db file if relevant

Stats

Basic statistics are collected for some versions of the TARDIS plugin (v2.5.8 and earlier). You can opt out at any time by setting opt-out: true in plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml

External web access

Version 2.8 (and higher) of this plugin includes a translation feature (the /tardissay command) that connects to the Lingva translation service.

You can prevent players from using the command by removing / not giving them the permission tardis.translate

Build #37 has a config option to stop the Chameleon Circuit from using IRON, GOLD, EMERALD, DIAMOND and TNT blocks (they are switched for similar coloured wool).

Set all_chameleon_blocks: false in the config

Do we need to add any other blocks types?

One TARDIS per player is enough I think - Doctor Who only has one :) Non-OP players will need tardis.use permission to create one.

hey, umm is there a way to maybe get more than one tardis... oh also if you do the /tardis update it will give you the option to make a scanner what is a scanner

You can already do this, the world MUST be called TARDIS_TimeVortex and must use the TARDISChunkGenerator, so with Multiverse you would do something like:

/mv create TARDIS_TimeVortex NORMAL -g TARDISChunkGenerator

Then in TARDIS:

/tardisadmin default_world true /tardisadmin default_world_name TARDIS_TimeVortex /tadisadmin include_default_world false

Please add support to rooms in a customize world for a tardis.

Indeed! Perhaps we should remove the precious blocks from the Chameleon Circuit, or at least make it configurable whether they are allowed.

I can confirm it the dupe does occasionally happens, although not as often as it used to. I haven't worked out yet how to make it dupe and the conditions that it happens with, else I'd have posted here already, but I'm still looking.

The problem appears worse than it actually is on my server, as there are dead Tardis's all around the map from earlier versions of the plugin. I don't see it as a major problem, as its only wool and its not going to effect the economy system.

Well, I've actually been noticing them on a server I play on often. I checked the version, and it says 2.1 beta-1 the last time I checked after noticing a dupe bug. I was checking the servers live map online, and saw my TARDIS in two places, where it was, and at its home location all the way across the map. I teleported there myself and sure enough, found the police box sitting there. I was even able to harvest the wool, sign, torch and door! I now have stacks full of the stuff clogging my vault room. I wish I had access to server logs to paste in, but sadly, I don't. I'll try to get it to happen on my personal server and post a video as soon as I have the time and software to do so. Hopefully over the weekend. :)

I would be more interested in knowing about your dupe bugs, and squashing them! What version are you running that has dupes? Please post a video of the process required to cause the dupe.

There is another rather annoying possibility that I had thought about. What if one were to short out the chameleon circuit on diamond or gold blocks, then move the TARDIS far away? With the police box duplication bug that has crept back up, the TARDIS could be an infinite source of rare and precious goods, thus upsetting server economies! Maybe if the chunk(s) containing a police box were kept loaded for longer after dematerialization, then this may be averted! There is also the possibility of similar catastrophes with shorting on TNT! Maybe a blacklist for all the blocks not allowed for use by the circuit? ;)
