Downloads
I'm too lazy to upload TARDIS files to Bukkit anymore, as builds are automatically created when the plugin is updated and changes pushed to GitHub.
Version specific downloads can be found here: https://tardis.pages.dev/download
Please make sure you are using the latest Spigot/Paper builds (for the Minecraft version you are running) before installing TARDIS or creating an issue!
What it does
TARDIS is a plugin that gives you the ability to create a Police Box that lets you time travel (teleport) to random locations. It adds a Whovian twist to the typical /sethome and /home commands.
As a player, you can:
- Create a TARDIS that is bigger on the inside.
- Time travel to a random location.
- Time travel back home (where you created the TARDIS initially).
- Save and list interesting time travel locations, so you can return to them easily.
- Take companions with you when you time travel.
- Make your TARDIS blend in with the Chameleon Circuit.
- Use your own schematic to build the TARDIS interior
- Grow new TARDIS rooms
- Use Artron Energy
- Remote control the TARDIS
- Custom TARDIS sounds with companion Resource Pack
- Custom TARDIS textures with companion Resource Pack

What's new?
Installation
As a minimum, just drop the TARDIS.jar, TARDISChunkGenerator.jar (look under Additional Files on the download page) and any optional plugins listed below into the Bukkit plugins folder and start your server. For more detailed instructions see: https://tardis.pages.dev/installation-v5
Optional installs
These are not needed for TARDIS to function, but enhance the plugin with extra features...
- Install the TARDIS-SoundResourcePack in the Minecraft client to hear custom TARDIS sounds
- Install the TARDIS-Resource-Pack to see aal the fancy textures and models (requires TARDIS v4.2 or higher).
- Install the TARDISChunkGenerator plugin so that you can generate TARDISes in their own self-contained world (included on the TARDIS plugin download page under Additional files).
- Install WorldGuard to automatically protect your TARDIS from griefing, and stop mobs spawning in TARDIS worlds.
- Install TARDISWeepingAngels to add some Whovian mobs to the game.
- Install a Permissions plugin, so that you can restrict or grant players the rights to use TARDIS’ different features. We like PermissionsBukkit.

Bugs / Requests
Please post a ticket for TARDIS plugin requests and bugs, thank you :)
WARNING: I am no longer prepared to waste my time looking at incomplete tickets. If your ticket does not follow the guidelines set out below, it will be deleted immediately!
Make sure you have read the FAQs first, as your question may already be answered there. Also make sure you have searched for a previous ticket with the same/similar issue (use the Filters to search closed tickets).
If you are going to create a BUG ticket you need to supply relevant information (as I'm not a mind reader, nor do I have access to your server...) - as a minimum you need:
- Exact CraftBukkit version i.e. NOT 'the latest' - use the
/tardis versioncommand if possible, otherwise copy from server log - Exact TARDIS version i.e. NOT 'the latest' - use the
/tardis versioncommand if possible, otherwise copy from server log - The server log showing the entire error (as a paste or at Pastebin - NOT a screenshot) - this should be the log from when the server starts up right through to when the error occurs
- If no error in the log, then a video of the bug happening or the EXACT steps needed to reproduce the issue.
- Attach your plugins/TARDIS/config.yml file or other configuration file if relevant
- Attach your plugins/TARDIS/TARDIS.db file if relevant
- List of other plugins on server
Stats
Basic statistics are collected for some versions of the TARDIS plugin (v2.5.8 and earlier). You can opt out at any time by setting opt-out: true in plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml
External web access
Version 2.8 (and higher) of this plugin includes a translation feature (the /tardissay command) that connects to the Lingva translation service.
You can prevent players from using the command by removing / not giving them the permission tardis.translate

You can allow the TARDIS to land in WorldGuard regions by changing the config:
/tardisadmin respect_worldguard false-

I've just spent the last 2 days just writing new / updating old documentation, it takes a long time to write instructions and make videos... sometimes it doesn't seem worth the effort as I'm pretty sure most people (yourself obviously not included) don't bother to read it... As markdf states it is much more exciting to add new features than to slave away documenting it all :)
FYI the request for help is still there - http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/tardis/#w-want-to-help-out-with-the-plugin, any pull requests are welcome!

Well first, I just found this plugin so I have no knowledge of previous versions and also wasn't around for the volunteer request. Being the first time I touched the plugin I was going off the documentation in the order I found it. I was merely making an observation, as a new plugin user, that it was a little hard to follow. The room creation change was my only hanging point, and the Author pointed me in the correct direction to sort it out.
WorldEdit can lag, depending on size, complexity, and storage medium. Perhaps the option would be nice is all I'm saying. Maybe a way to do one room at at time, and not allow everyone to do it at once. I'm not sure from the programming side if it's possible, just a thought.

I didn't see you volunteer to contribute to the documentation when eccentric asked very recently. I guess you could have up to-date documentation at the expense of constant upgrades and bug fixes to the plugin, you cant have both. Although I think most of the new features are part of the 2.7 dev. version, if you choose to install a dev. version (as I do), then its your responsibility to keep up with the change log and assume responsibility yourself for any problems in a version that is still a work in progress.
As for your comment about worldedit, even I, as a non-programmer know that the lag from even a small server with several players adding/deleting rooms at the same time would not be good for everyone online.

Thanks. Is it just me, or is the documentation and videos in a bit of a shambles? :-/
I have one more question though, will the ARS continue to build if I leave the TARDIS? It seems like it could take a while. Seems like there should be a way to do the builds with WorldEdit or something. :-/

No, read this: http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/tardis/#w-bugs-requests
But like I've already commented, your ideas are not new, you should find the old tickets and either read or add comments to them...

You are putting the seed block in the wrong place, probably because you haven't read all the change logs for the new version...
Read the FAQs!

Posted Jan 10, 2014I'm having problems growing rooms.
I'm using Spigot 1.7.2 (latest dev build) and Multiverse, WorldGuard, and WorldBorder.
I can create the TARDIS fine, but when I use the /tardis room passage, place the clay block, and click with key I get the following:
There seems to be a block in the way! You should be growing out into the void.
I fly out into the void...and I can't see any blocks that appear to be blocking anything.
Thanks for any help you can give.

1) Seems like a good idea...
2) No. You're supposed to make the worlds yourself.
3) The resource pack will be adding those soon. (replacing normal mobs)
You're asking for stuff which would be done best with separate plugins.

Posted Jan 10, 2014ok so I have a couple of ideas for the plugin... And I know it would get more attention If I posted a comment So here's My ideas...
Ok First Idea is that if you have the tardis key In your inv that you can just walk into the door And that would be a option in the config
Second idea is that you make the tardis plugin able to create it's own worlds But like a world for the time vortex or maybe space and maybe a space ship map like something that would make the plugin So we didn't have to get maps manually From planet minecraft
3ed Idea You should make it so that the plugin has Dr. who mobs (Daleks Cyberman Silent and a few others..). The whould be blocks or all ready made mobs so that it whouldnt have to be a MOD And that's it
