Survival Games

Survival Games is a plugin that has the aim of creating a fully automated hunger games style experience. The plugin was created to be simple to use, and to be easily setup on any type of server, no matter the size or type! Survival Games provides a way for your server to have a full fledged, fully automated hunger games experience for any player. Requirements
Before installing this plugin, a few things are required.
- WorldEdit- Needed to create arenas.
- MySQL Database (optional) - If you wish to use stats, you must have an SQL database.
Conflicts
- Any plugin that modifies damage amounts by applying more damage can sometimes cause issues and make the player actually die (ie McMMO).
- Some locking plugins such as LWC have been reported to have issues with the lobby signs, but should work normally if protection is turned of for those signs.
- WORLD PORTAL will make this plugin completely break if the lobby is not in a world that is loaded at start!

New Permissions:
If you have for example 6 arenas, and you want every player to be able to join all arenas, give each rank the following permissions:
- sg.arena.join.<arena#> (Replace <arena#> with the arena number.)
- sg.arena.join
- sg.player.vote
- sg.lobby.join
Note: Devs and important people of this plugin have colored names on lobby signs

Posted Jun 24, 2012Does anyone know how to merge arenas together? I have 6 (I want it to be 12, but cant with RAM issues) arenas, and want to see how to make all of the arenas on one world. MCEdit and WorldEdit are far FAR out of the question.

I get this too but the signs get a &cError or &cNo Arena i have sql disabled and have The stats on cause when there off i get the &cError or the &cNo Arena. Posted Jun 24, 2012help me i set up my lobby with my lobby sign wall and i set up the arena and set all the spawns. when i went back to my lobby the signs where erased and in my console it kept repeating huge ammount of errors here is a sample of the errors

Posted Jun 24, 2012Ok, thanks for the clarification, I'm really glad Sql isn't needed anymore. Except now, when i try to edit the arena, it doesn't let me break or place blocks, even when its disabled and not in progress. Is there any way to fix this?

Yes, i clicked the signs -.- at first it tells me everything is going good, like it says [Survivalgames] Arena 1 and the players who join.. but then 1 game later.. the players at the signs dont get removed and sometimes the winner gets teleported into a block.. :S and when the winner does /sg leave it says an error occured while trying to perform this command to fix that i need to restart the server but when the winner doesnt get teleported to a block the names stay exactly as it is.. or SOME of them get removed and 1 stays .. to fix that i need to do /sg setlobbywall again

This can be achieve with essentials which we all know and love. Unless you're using command book, in that case. May god bless your soul. Also, VIP arenas can be achieve with multiverse enforce access :P

No errors for the players not going off the sign.. but when i do /sg setlobbywall it says "lobby status wall succesfly created" then theres a meesage below it says "an error occured while ... "<

Double, is there any way you could add a node which gives defined kits at every start? I know you are planning VIP kits, but I would like something slightly different. Because I have different donator 'levels', I would like it so that even donators must have a certain permission.
Example:
New kit.yml
Inside:
Donator: 268-1, 322-1 (Gets one of 268, and one of 322).
Now, the people who get that kit at the start of every game must have sg.kit.(kitNameHere)
Also, same thing goes for arenas. They need the sg.arena.(ArenaNameHere)

Posted Jun 24, 2012I disabled MySQL the rollbacks work OK, but when the game's over, players don't get teleported to the lobby, and you can't do /sg leave nor /spawn.

"(name of the player) won the survival games on arena (number)" But then when i go back to the lobby in the signs it doesnt remove the names of the players, and if i wanna get the name of the players removed i do the /sg setlobbywall command again ... ^.^ any help?

Having 12 arenas running on my server, there are rarely more then 500 blocks in memory at any time. Doing test on a 128mb ram server with tnt and logging of 6k+ blocks it barley used a MB of extra ram. The memory hit from saving it in ram is basically un-noticable

Posted Jun 24, 2012Got a recommendation for the plugin from running the server for several weeks now.
When players leave the games just before they die, they don't drop they're items - and it doesn't count as a death on the player stats.
Can you please set the plugin to force players to die (and hence drop their items) if they leave the server whilst in-game and to add a death to the player stats if a player logs out in-game.

Update to 0..4.6, I can confirm that we aren't getting any resetting stuck problems anymore, just the plugin crashing the mysql database every so often

Posted Jun 24, 2012Just updated was hoping it would fix the MySQL crashes we've been having but still getting them.
On a dedicated server, with SSD, 16gb ram etc. Any ideas? After a few hours the console gets spammed with couldn't connect messages and the database takes awhile before it can be re-accessed again.
I would switch to No SQL option, but from testing it appears its stored in memory and not on file (correct me if im wrong). We have 7 arena's running at any time, don't really have enough spare RAM to store the rollback stuff in memory.
