Presenting SUPER SKY BROS. Brawl, a new plugin designed to allow the common server owner the ability to create the similar game play experience from the SCB servers, but with your own features and ideas. Almost every aspect of this plugin will be customizable by you, the server administrator.
What is Super Sky Bros Brawl?
Super Sky Bros. is played in an arena of 4 to 8 people. The players all choose unique classes in the lobby to arm themselves against the other players. The classes are all themed after different mobs in Minecraft. Once the match starts, the players are teleported into an arena, where they must fight it out to be the winner of the match! Every player has five lives, and once you run out of lives, you're out of the game. The last man standing wins, and with the title of winner comes the gloating.

Features
- Unique, Original Classes, All classes will be upgradeable using a "Leveling" System.

Hi just like to let you know I am back online after some personal issues and also, we had a storm that left our house without power for 5 days. This is one of the downsides of living in the country miles from anywhere, they always leave you last to fix things. As requested I will put together a section on the website that I will detail current progress in different areas of the plugin. A big issue with making a single plugin that works on both dedicated SSB servers and in mixed servers where you run it with other plugins is that the amount of features it includes (leveling system, boss bar, unique weapons) require so much CPU that mixed servers with other big plugins (Factions, multiworld/multiverse, Towny, etc.) will just get bogged down. An example would be:
You have factions on a server. When a player:
- chats, SSB will check if the chat needs to be processed by SSB
- places a block, SSB will check if that needs to be cancelled if it's in a SSB world
- dies, SSB needs to decide if SSB should broadcast that to SSB players
- Much more

Development build will return as soon as the next approved version is out at some point I want everybody using the same version till then.
Known bugs:
- Users without Java 7 will have errors
- Please note this plugin is not finished yet
- This means signs, classes, and gameplay won't work yet.

But not to use a plugin to do it ?? How do you expect to disguise players, I agree I would never use Disguisecraft as that is shite. But I will be using LibsDisguises. but your be able to turn it on or off in each classes settings if you don't want it.
Why do people always worry about it taking up a lot of ram, when half the time they don't release that having lots of ram in no way stops lag on its own. CPU usage is another, badly designed code which does lots of look ups on the main thread. To many reads and write to disk. There are many things but people just same to think chunk more ram at it and that will fix the problem when half the time it won't.

Posted Dec 9, 2013Please add disguises for each class. Disguisecraft should not be needed cuz its a plugin plugin that takes up alot of ram and wouldnt be good for servers running this.

If you mean view status as apposed to control status then yes.
The overwriting of the messages.yml is something I am aware of and need to add in a solution to this I would suggest at least for the time being to take a copy before updating to a later release, as most of the time it is additions to the file not deletions or renaming. I need to write an entire upgrade system as currently this isn't the only file that will be overwritten on a new release. But I can't do this until I am close to release as things change all the time in development, this is one of the joys of testing out development versions.

Yes I will make some form of Status section to allow people to see whats done and what needs to be done. This will be independent or if posting is on or off.
I know people sometimes jut get frustrated not knowing the current status of the development and this would allow people to see quickly where the development is at.

Posted Dec 9, 2013I am also going to post a list of the MINIMUM required features the plugin will need to be released. This list will actually be features that once released will be very hard for me to change as it would involve major back end changes which would most likely require you guys having to part rebuild your set ups which am sure you don't want.
This will also require at the bare minimum a Beta Release of 1.7.2 by bukkit themselves as at the moment they are fixing bugs of a daily bases. This also does not mean the day a Beta 1.7.2 is released by bukkit that this plugin is released on the same day, but it certainly will help.

Posted Dec 7, 2013As I said it is all down to what your trying to get the server to do. If you overload and the server doesn't have enough hardware then this is down to the server owner. While I am sure you will be fine keep in mind lag can be caused from both sides an under powered badly set up server or a badly written plugin that leaks memory and causes concurrent interrupt issues. I may be being over corious hear but if owners with a crappy cpu and 2GB memory which already has 25 plugins on will not be running this plugin.
This plugin is not and never will be designed to run on the really low end servers with lots of other plugins. You might ask why not ??? The answer is simple to run a game type like this with multiple instances has a minimum requirement for hardware resources, Some might say well don't put so much in, but then it wouldn't be the plugin it is. But be assured I have taken every step to write the code to be as efficient as possible. Most won't have a problem,
