SparkTrail

An advanced and powerful particle trail plugin

Great for donation perks! Dazzle your friends with tons of unique particle effects!

Development builds of this project can be acquired at the provided continuous integration server. These builds have not been approved by the BukkitDev staff. Use them at your own risk.

The SparkTrail plugin aims to utilise the range of particle effects Craftbukkit has to offer. Fire, ender, smoke and even love hearts are only a small portion of the particle effects this plugin utilises. With over 20 unique effects, there's guaranteed to be one that 'tickles your fancy'!
The integration of Player, Location and Entity particle effects, along with a long list of Sound effects comes packaged inside the SparkTrail plugin. We also integrate the plugin's features with newer Minecraft additions, including complete Command Block support for modifying Trail effects.

SparkTrail comes with an auto-updater to save you, as a server owner, from continually checking this page for new files. It simply connects to dev.bukkit.org and compares the versions of available files. If you do not wish for SparkTrail to perform this check, navigate to the Configuration File (config.yml) in the SparkTrail directory of your plugins folder and change "checkForUpdates" and "autoUpdate" to "false". The first value disables the version comparison altogether and the second updates the plugin automatically if new files are detected.

Metrics is used to collect plugin statistics. Only data such as plugin version and players online is collected. If you do not wish for this data to be collected, disable it in the 'Plugin Metrics' folder of your 'plugins' directory.

This video applies to SparkTrail 2 ONLY!

SparkTrail is open source

It seems as if the timer doesn't work. I believe it is in ticks, and to test it, I went from 20 to 100. No slow down whatsoever. Awesome plugin though, the menu is amazing.
Sorry: Requesting cooldown for particle effects too.

Please submit a ticket with exactly what is happening and an error report if it exists. I can't help you if I don't know the issue.

Posted Dec 26, 2012Note: Do NOT use the SparkBlock Blood effect in 2.0. It has a bug that makes the effect escalate every few seconds.
Onto a more exciting note, I have uploaded two pictures of the new SparkFireworks feature coming in SparkTrail 2.1! Expect it out sometime this week!!!

First problem: Were any other SparkBlock effects applied to other blocks while you executed /sparkblock blood on the Human Head? It will be fixed.
Second problem: I executed both commands and it said something along the lines of "264 is not a valid Block ID argument or is prohibited!" so I'm not sure what happened there :/. Have you edited the config file?
I have actually missed the diamond block break effect so I'll have to fix that *facepalm*.
EDIT: I've fixed the first problem. Do you have the error report for the second? Or is it also in the other report?

Posted Dec 25, 2012Read from bottom to top, tried putting a sparkblock blood on a human head http://pastebin.com/xPeX3HuK
also typing /spark blockid diamond gave an internal server error, then typing /spark blockid 264 directly after crashed the server

You are using a 1.4.5 version of SparkTrail with a 1.4.6 version of CraftBukkit. If you wish to use a 1.4.6 version of CraftBukkit, please use SparkTrail 2.0 (for 1.4.6)...
Everyone, PLEASE check the version of CraftBukkit it has been developed with. That is why plugin authors have to update every time a new version of Craftbukkit is released...

Yeah, things like that can emerge really quick. And especially considering the size that plugin is growing to it's hard remembering to test every scenario you can think of :P. Then again, most are an easy fix.

Ah, yes. I don't know how I missed that :P. Just remove the permissions for that until I fix it.

Posted Dec 24, 2012I stumbled upon a bug on the latest version :) The death effect causes squids to die to work, however this creates ink sacks, which is kinda annoying and also gives a way of damaging some economies :P
Thanks for the awesome plugin btw!

At the moment it shows all of the Sparks for everyone. In the future I will probably change that :)

Posted Dec 23, 2012Wow! The new version looks great. Question; will the sparkmenu show ALL sparks? Or only the ones the player has permissions for?

Posted Dec 22, 2012Uploaded Version 2.0! The changelog for 2.0 is larger than previous versions and consequently, I will not post it here.
However, I highly recommend you see the new features and changes to SparkTrail at http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/sparktrail/files/12-spark-trail-v2-0/. The download is also available, BUT it has not been approved by Bukkit yet.
The Changelog can also be found by hitting the silver Changelog button near the top of the page
Now to update all the pages....XD
