SimpleItemPermissions version 3.0

SimpleItemPermissions is a Basic but powerful Plugin that allows Server owners to Control what players can Craft, what Weapons/Tools users can deal damage with, what block a player can place or destroy and much more

This plugin is great for all types Server but is aimed at RPG Servers allowing Owners to create custom classes Via Permissions

Requiments

Vault

Features:

full control of Armour, Tools, Weapons, Blocks with permission nodes.

Installation:

Note: if you do not have Vault the plugin will disable itself

Drop the .jar into your plugin folder.
Edit your permissions plugin with the permission nodes below.
Restart your Server to enable the plugin
Profit!

When Changing Values in the config you need to shut down your server then edit the Config then Start the Server again for them to take effect.

Light Version's:

Only want to use some Features of this plugin ? why don't you choose a light Version of what you need to-do.

Armour Permissions:
- SIP. Armour.Leather

Damage Permissions:
- SIP.Damage.* - Users can deal damage with anything
- SIP.Damage.Fist - Users can deal damage with there Fists
- SIP.Damage.Sword - Users can deal damage with Any Sword (See item permissions for Controlling the each sword)
- SIP.Damage.Pick - User can deal damage with any pick
- SIP.Damage.Axe - User can deal damage with any Axe
- SIP.Damage.Shovel - User can deal damage with any shovel (spade)

Misc Permissions:
- SIP.Misc.Brewing - User can use a brewing Stand
- SIP.Misc.Enchanting - User can use a Enchanting Table
- SIP.Misc.Bow - User can use a Bow
- SIP.Misc.Breeding - User can use wheat to Breed
- SIP.Misc.FishingRod - User can use a Fishing Rod
- SIP.Misc.LavaBucket - User can use a lava Bucket
- SIP.Misc.WaterBucket - User can user a water Bucket

Block Permissions:
If Control Block is true in config you need to add these Permissions, You need to Replace ItemID with the ItemID you want to allow.
You can view the item IDs Here
- SIP.Break.ItemID - Allows the User to Break the item you have chosen
- SIP.Place.ItemID - Allows the User to Place the item you have chosen

Crafting Permissions:
If Control Craft is true in config you need to add these Permissions, You need to Replace ItemID with the ItemID you want to allow.

Found another bug.. of some sort.

So, I gave all the permission nodes to this specific group. I made it so it can break all these blocks, INCLUDING dirt/grass. Now, I also gave the group permission to use a wood shovel. (SIP.Shovel.Wood). Now, I can use the wood shovel as in; move it around my inventory without getting a warning, or an error - but I can't break dirt with it. This goes with all tools. I can break stone with my hand, I can break dirt with my hand, but not with the tool.

Could you give me a little bit more info on your bug such as the log when you start the server

to disable only a diamond sword just enable it in the config then give users each sword type you want them to use then profit

for example you would need to give Permissions: - SIP.Damage.Sword - SIP.Sword.Wood - SIP.Sword.Stone - SIP.Sword.Iron - SIP.Sword.Gold

This would mean the user who has these permissions could use up to a Golden sword but not diamond

Edit: Upon striking a mob with no permissions the server crashes.

How about Crafting Permissions, so that everybody could have an Diamond Armor, but thouse who are not in a forgery-guild (or something) have to buy it.

So everybody could possibly do anything, use any tool, but for some players its more difficult.

Mmmh... some kind of problem here.

I've coupled your plugin with ScriptBlocks, that allow player to launch command by hitting a block. This way, my player can buy permissions to use items. Everything works fine, except the diamond items, that doesn't work at all, even if player have permissions !

No miss-typing error, as I've copy-pasted the permissions given in this page. The two things really strange in it : player with "simpleitem.sword.*" permission CAN'T use Diamond Sword, but OP can...

Please someone help me ?

Hi everyone!

Arnie, ive been following your plugin for a long time, is really good and i love the amount of possibilities that gives to configurate properly a server.

In fact im developing a rp server right now, planning to open in 10 days and this plugin is almost the cornerstone of it.

May I ask if you are planning to develop an updated version of it anytime soon?

If players have weapons they dont' have perms for, they keep getting disconnected. As you imagine, thats pretty much unusable, just throwing it out there for a fix though.

Also, the fist damage doesn't seem to work? Everyone should have the permission but isn't letting them do anything.
