What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Produce some birch wood logs, birch wood planks, half high planks, Also Sandstone half high blocks
2. build a structure with those materials

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to build something with those materials.
Instead all half high blocks, both placed somewhere and in inventory turn into stone blocks of half high. Those blocks placed somewhere are misplaced (hovering half a block above ground)
Full hight birch logs turn into another type of wood logs, Jungle tree log I think. also affects inventory.

What version of the product are you using?
Minecraft 1.2.5  CraftBukkit 1.2.5-R1.0  Sidekick 6.1

With Sidekick removed, everything works fine again. Transformed materials stay transformed but newly created materials don't change and can be placed as expected.

Strange, I just tested this out and have no problem? List all the plugins you have, also this could be a bug in CraftBukkit itself.

the only other server addon is CreativeGates.
On client side, Zombes Mod Pack is installed.
It's strange that everything works fine with sidekick removed.
Maybe it's an error in Bukkit itself. They also don't support world height 256 it seems.
It also might be of importance that it is a completely new generated world.

Yes, I would check with them. We don't use any events from block's being placed or changed. So it couldn't be SideKick.
