I am testing this new page out. I am aware of some parts that are missing such as ship types, but please say if there is anything that you wish to see. I plan on making a FAQ's that includes common questions such as how to change ship requirements.

Ships 6 changes
Ships has gone through many changes, Ships 6 is the latest rewrite of the plugin. The latest rewrite fixes multiple bugs found in the root of previous versions of Ships.
Features
Moving ships
As the name of the plugin suggests, you can create your own ship and move it with just a single click.
Works with all blocks
There is a fully-fledged list where you can configure every block to react differently for the ships, including being able to add a block type to interact with Ships, detect it as a collide, and even not react at all.
Teleport to ships
There have been many requests to be able to teleport to ships for not only this plugin but others like it. This feature has been added to Ships, however, if it is something you do not wish, then you can disable to command by not adding the command.
Falling Ships
Ships will fall/sink if requirements are not met, this could be done through your own interaction such as running out of fuel, or by something else such as a TNT explosion.

Move the ship:
In Ships, movement is done by signs. You can see all signs here
Collide types:

|---|---|---|
| Detect collide | DETECT_COLLIDE | If Ships detects this block in the way of a ship moving then the ship will not move with the error of this block being in the way |
| Material | MATERIAL | Material means that you can build a ship out of this block and the Ships block detection system will detect it as part of your ship |
| Ignore | IGNORE | If Ships detects this block in the way of a ship moving then the block will break and the ship will take its place |

In version 2.0 of fall does not occur at the time of the flight. (Except for standing on edge or half-blocks) When you rotate the stand close to the steering wheel. Thanks to this not fall. This will improve in future versions.

Posted Aug 23, 2012I wanted to express my thanks again for this great plugin! I've had a great time flying around my world. I fell off a ship earlier today, while it was on auto-pilot. When I made it back to where I had died...the ship had already flown off and I never could find it. hahah.
I do have one small request thought. Torches are great sources of light, would it be possible to include glowstone as a building material for ships and airships?

Posted Aug 22, 2012Would it be possible to make buttons and such stick with the ship when it moves? Would be nice so we could use this plugin along with yours: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/block-cannons-v1-1/
Also, would it be possible to make it so livestock and other creatures travel with the ship as well?

My users are having issues creating regular Ships, i understand the requirements for both airships/ships are very strict, but the issue is i add all the correct signs to a "ship" and nothing happens, no warnings/errors ect. I change the sign label from ship, to airship, and i get a response? So the boat is not built incorrectly surely?

No, if does not have something in the settings that you can not add. For now, there are only 2 types of ships. Floating is sailing, so the fuel would be rather strange. Now plans to add marsship (which can move between worlds) and then a steamer (a bit faster than the ship). Unfortunately, by the end of the month what to do and I certainly do not see these 2 types.

Posted Aug 22, 2012Hey, is the "required" section configurable? EG, percentage of required block, what the required block is and whether it needs fuel?
I want to set ALL vehicles to require fuel for example.

As possible, the new ship "Marsship", will have the property. I know that the construction of the ship is a challenging but thanks to this plugin runs seven times faster.

I'm getting the same problem with my ship as well.
Yeah, it just seems to be a bit picky. I made a different ship and it works fine now.
Anyway, I love this. Thank you so much.
Would it be possible to maybe make some obstacles be destroyed when a ship hits them? It's a bit silly when a lillypad stops a ship dead in its tracks.

Posted Aug 20, 2012@Qx2 whooooops I built an airship not a ship ( I wrote the wrong thing in the other comment ) and all the signs are on one platform then the platform is connected to the ship ship so all the signs are are connected I checked a couple of times

Your problem is very simple. You have a poorly built boat. Some blocks are not added to the ship and shows a collision. Read the description section "Construction"

Posted Aug 20, 2012i found a problem that make it nearly imposable to move the ship. i created the ship properly (everything touching), a lot of wool, 200 fuel (2 cauldrons), every sign but when is use the wheel it says Obstacle on course, when i use the EOT it doesn't move, but when i use the [engine] sign it moves the ship ( in any direction i want ) and so does the [burner] sign
