I am testing this new page out. I am aware of some parts that are missing such as ship types, but please say if there is anything that you wish to see. I plan on making a FAQ's that includes common questions such as how to change ship requirements.

Ships 6 changes
Ships has gone through many changes, Ships 6 is the latest rewrite of the plugin. The latest rewrite fixes multiple bugs found in the root of previous versions of Ships.
Features
Moving ships
As the name of the plugin suggests, you can create your own ship and move it with just a single click.
Works with all blocks
There is a fully-fledged list where you can configure every block to react differently for the ships, including being able to add a block type to interact with Ships, detect it as a collide, and even not react at all.
Teleport to ships
There have been many requests to be able to teleport to ships for not only this plugin but others like it. This feature has been added to Ships, however, if it is something you do not wish, then you can disable to command by not adding the command.
Falling Ships
Ships will fall/sink if requirements are not met, this could be done through your own interaction such as running out of fuel, or by something else such as a TNT explosion.

Move the ship:
In Ships, movement is done by signs. You can see all signs here
Collide types:
| Name | ID | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Detect collide | DETECT_COLLIDE | If Ships detects this block in the way of a ship moving then the ship will not move with the error of this block being in the way |
| Material | MATERIAL | Material means that you can build a ship out of this block and the Ships block detection system will detect it as part of your ship |
| Ignore | IGNORE | If Ships detects this block in the way of a ship moving then the block will break and the ship will take its place |

Ah, that's your problem (not sure why its not filling the data in)
fix
this is how the ConfigVersion should look.
i know it sounds wrong, to fix the config from restarting itself you must enter in something to the config.
however, if you go to you
'DoNotChange: {}'
and swap it for the one provided above (with the config version) that should fix the ConfigAutoRestart problem you have been having

Posted May 28, 2014Hey I just installed the plugin and everything is working fine, except that there are no commands. If I type /ships I get the default "Unknown Command". I have been trying to fix this for a few hours, not even Essentials is recognizing that there are any commands for this plugin. Any help would be appreciated!

Posted May 27, 2014Hey, I've been enjoying your plugin so far, however I have one problem. I would like to add more alternate fuels to the config, which I can do, but the config will reset. Any solutions?
I am running ships 3.2.5 on 1.7.2 R0.3

Ships 4 is not out (will be out this week). You can download the pre release of Ships 4 on MoseCraftbukkitPlugins (like as the image at the top of this page)
3.2.6 does not support any other plugins, so no they do not work for Ships 3.2.6

im going to be talking about MoseCraft-Core link up with ships here.
I have just uploaded MoseCraft-Core 1.0.0, Ships 4 links into that version (sorry if you have been using 0.3 and expecting the two to link).
MoseCraft-Core is needed to run Ships 4 to grab the data of vessels/ Cannons, etc so sorry if you dont want another plugin, but its needed.

it seems like im the only one hyped about ships 4 release, but never the less, some things you should know about ships 4.
expected bugs
All hope is not lost
my testers and I have been testing Ships 4 whilst its been made and for 2 weeks after it has been made. My real guess is all the bugs that occurred in Ships 3.2.6 will occur in Ships 4 with the exception of the bugs that Ships 4 patches.

Just want to say everything is back on track for ships 4, if nothing else goes wrong it will be released at the end of the week. Or if 3 of my testers say it is good to go, then it will be released earilyer (one tester has already given the thumbs up)

Right, this error reported by users usually results in there vessel having a block turned to false in the config, but on there vessel.

Posted May 24, 2014Might not be a known problem. I have a medium sized vessel and I made it on the open ocean with at least 50+ blocks open space underneath the water. And when I try to move forward it says "[Ships] Obstacle on the course" and nothing is in the way!

Thank you! However, my last question was unanswered. I would like to know if the ship can be made out of mostly wool? Cause the ship I built has a wool hull and wool sails with some nether brick fences, and other materials on it.

Ok, can I ask what version of ships are you using? (There are 2 latests so don't say latests)
These are the fixes for the latest versions
3.2.6 (expected)
the code on line 331 gets all the data from your ship ..... however the ship has too many blocks for the code to power though, so if you reduce the amount of blocks on your vessel it should work (eventually)

Thanks to my testers, they have discovered a bug that can stop the ship from moving (for me duplicating the bug its just turning the vessel).
Ships 4.0.0 is due to release for next week, so it may not be delayed, however this bug seems very big and could take some time to fix

If you go into the config and turn materials list to true. Any materials in the materials.yml that are true will work on your vessel

Do you know if there are any blocks you can't have on the ship? Could you please list them all cause if my ship is not too big it might be that I built it out of a material now allowed. also can the entire ship be mostly made of wool?
