SetRankPEX - Change a user's group in PermissionsEx more easily

Description

Tired of having to type /pex user <User> group set <Group>? With this plugin you can simply type /setrank <User> <Group>.

Features

Makes a shorter command to change a user's group (a.k.a. rank)
Can be configured to broadcast when a user's rank is changed
Message is configurable with color support (see here for color codes)
Separate join messages for admins and owners that is configurable and optional

Commands

Usage	Aliases	Permission	Description
/setrank <player> <rank>	rank, setgroup, group	srpex.setrank.(group in lower case)	Change a player's rank to the specified one. If the group name contains a space, use an underscore (_).
/srpexversion	srpexv	srpex.version	Check for a new version of SetRankPEX
/srpexreload	reloadsrpex, srpexr	srpex.reload	Reload the configuration of SetRankPEX

Permissions

~Go here if you have problems with permissions (pre-1.7)~

Name	Description
srpex.setrank.(group in lower case)	Allows you to use the setrank command for the specified rank. If the group name contains a space, use an underscore (_).
srpex.from.(group in lower case)	Allows you to change a user's group from the specified one. If the group name contains a space, use an underscore (_).
srpex.version	Allows you to use the srpexreload command. Notifies users of a new version when they join the server.
srpex.reload	Allows you to reload the configuration of SetRankPEX

Configuration

Name	Type	Default Value	Description
allow-ops	boolean	true	Whether or not to allow ops to do things without the required permission
broadcast-rank-change	boolean	true	Whether or not to broadcast a message when a user's rank is changed
broadcast-message	string	'+player is now a(n) +group'	Message broadcast when a user's rank is changed
announce-ranks	string list	[Admin, Owner]	Ranks that get a special join message
ranks-message	string	'+rank +player joined the game.'	Special join message for specified ranks
version-check	boolean	true	Whether or not to check for new versions of SetRankPEX
check-interval	long	3600	Amount of seconds between each version check

Can you implement a feature where players who have the setrank permission but not the setrankoverride permission or w.e, that when they add a person to their group, the person needs to accept it instead of instantly adding them?

Id be willing to donate $5 if you could add this feature!

There is a simple fix for this loading before permissions ex and rankpex disabled

If I were you, I'd open the SetRankPEX.jar with WinRAR/7Zip, then open the plugin.yml file and add Code:

depend: [PermissionsEx]

Just after the "name", so the plugin.yml looks like: Code:

... name: SetRankPEX depend: [PermissionsEx] ...

this will fix this ,irock23 maybe set the rank function so that it wont recognizes classes that dont exist

I am trying to migrate from SetRankPB to SetRankPEX. Unfortunately the iConomy enabled /promo command on Baummann's SetRankPB is the central method of promotion on my server. There are no other plugins that I know of that also offer this feature (commands, not signs). It's such a great feature, please add the iConomy promotion functionality into SetRankPEX! Keep up the great work!

@vicente947 He may have not updated this for 1479, most plugins wont work until Bukkit promotes a 1.0 build.

i need help!!!! For some reason SetRankPEX is loading before PermEX causing SetRankPEX not being able to find PermEX and now SetRankPEX does not work, but PermsEX does work? can someone please help me? thanks

this plugin didn't work for me until i realized how dumb i was and forgot to take out the other setrank but this plugin is great works smoothly I don't know about other people it would be cool if you could implement color codes n stuff :D

I don't know what is causing it to not find PermissionsEx. Most people don't seem to have this problem and I do not with the latest RB, PEX, and SRPEX. I will try to find out what might be causing this, but I cannot guarantee that I will be able to.

That shouldn't matter as I have the Permissions bridge as well and it works fine for me. Is there possibly any more information any of you could give me? I have no clue what is wrong.

I also have the problem with plugin disabling on startup. Could it possibly be related with using Permissions Bridge?

Dunno if it's helpful in any way but I have following plugins installed:

Im getitng no errors, and I think its because I installed and configured PEX on the "right" way:/ I use this on my server, and ir really helpful.
