I am currently using your 4.1.3 version.
I love how you can make people into certain groups, which would help a lot for many things, but wish you could make it so that group could be given in a permission form. Like when someone gets to a certain rank or whatever they get access to that specific power.
If there is a way already I apologize.

I also use Mob Arena and wish for only specific abilities to be used when they have picked the class. I am trying to make it all automated so an admin does not have to give someone the ability.

This actually does exist! First you'd need to create a group with the desired powers using the command /powers group [group] [power]. Once it's made, you can assign entire permission groups to it by giving the permission s86powers.groups.[group] to their permission group.

Groups of course can also be used as classes, when someone picks a class just assign them to the group with the appropriate powers.
