Runecraft
Runecraft is a gameplay modification for SMP, that adds magic to the game without any commands. Runecraft is the longest running Minecraft mod, dating back to the Alpha days. Runecraft boasts over 120 runes and is still under active development. Everything you need in one, immersive, magic plugin.
Magic is done through the form of "runes", significant shapes of materials laid out in the actual game world. These runes can create unique short-term tool enchants, teleporters, hidden walls/passageways, and even the ability to create mobile teleporting bases.
- Player built simple Teleporters that use unique combinations of blocks to identify destinations
- Specific enchantments for dealing with natural hazards (lava, floods, falling gravel)
- Magic blocks that flip between two blocks when you activate them, or reveal secret passages
- Redstone compatibility: allowing runes to be activated by redstone signals
- Multi-world support: all features are completely compatible with multiple-world servers
- Commandless setup: Runecraft is designed for minimum hassle in configuring it. plugin and go!
- Easy configuration: it's simple to disable a rune entirely, or a rune per person.
- Optional permissions compatibility
- Requires no client modification
Runecraft prides itself on its immersive nature, with no need for any slash commands. Everything can be done in-game by players, constructing the runes to create the effects they're looking for. Runecraft is an extremely popular addon for roleplay, PVP, and small servers because of it's out of the box ability to just be installed and start running, and covering a variety of pseudo-administrative and gameplay mechanics from an entirely in game point of view.

Posted May 2, 2014So, question. And this by no means is any sense of urgency, I know you guys are busy and you guys are great. The teleport problem in the 2.18 version where you end up on the bottom, is there a particular file where that was fixed in the 2.20 version? Like, if I have the actual program files all loaded up, is there one I can drag from the 2.20 .jar into the 2.18 .jar to fix that little problem? If you don't want to let that information go for whatever reason that's fine too. Just thought I'd ask. We're running on 1.7.2 until another stable (or at least beta) build comes out for craftbukkit. No need for any kind of extensive checking or asking, just if you guys see this and know it off the top of your head, :).

Posted Apr 27, 2014I found a really big bug, and I can't see why nobody noticed it before:
When you use a faith or a pegasus fait engine, the "visual" glass at the "output" doesn't disappear, you have to break it manually.
I am with the craftbukkit-1.7.9-R0.1-20140424.033947-16 craftbukkit build and with the runecraft 2.20 DEV#1 for mc 1.7.9.

I believe that was when the magic_waypoint.dat was implemented, which means, unfortunately, that you will have to redo all the waypoints and such.
To Everyone
Hurrah! New builds are up! They are for 1.7.5, 1.7.8, and 1.7.9. These WILL fix the "spawn under bedrock" issue.

Posted Apr 24, 2014Crazy problem on my server, after upgrading to 1.7.2, my teleporters/waypoints are no longer working correctly. It seems that the coordinates for the waypoints are no longer where they were prior to the upgrade.
For example, teleporters that would transport a player from the startpoint to the main area, are now depositing players into a mountain somewhere, where they suffocate. In other instances players have been dropped straight into the void to their deaths.
Any idea what could be causing this? Are the coordinates stored somewhere that I could retrieve them from my backup and import them into the current server?
Thanks for the great mod and hopefully the help!

The reason why it does that is because Minecraft believes you are moving too fast. The rune should launch you as soon as you touch any of the sides. I will see if we can get it so it bypasses the minecraft "you are moving too fast" check. :) Please post a ticket in the ticket section so we do not forget!

I don't know were i should reply , so i'll give a try here !
I have currently an issue with the accelerator rune , when i try to activate it horizontally it only works on few direction. For an example when i want to launch myself straight forward i get stucked and can't leave except when i destroy the rune. I've tried it out several times and it seemed to me that the center of the "acceleration" wasn't on the tier rune but on one of the sides of the rune ! Well this is my contribution, love you guys ! Continue with this mod its my favorite on minecraft! :)

Can you pastebin your disabled-runes.txt? Note: Disabling Runes there is better than permissions.
To Everyone Else:
C'tri has been quite busy with real life, but, 3 new builds for 1.7.5, 1.7.8, and 1.7.9 should be coming up later today, if not, I will bug C'tri. :P Anyway, this should also fix the teleport glitch below bedrock, so, YAY! :) Thank you for reading.

Posted Apr 20, 2014"R: Runecraft 2.18, (CB1.7.2) for 1.7.2 Dec 09, 2013"
runecraft_2.17.2_dev_43172_.jar
Think the naming of that file may be slightly off...
Also, 1.7.8 onward has broken this yet again *cries* http://pastebin.com/RADGgupD

Posted Mar 4, 2014Hi! Having a strange issue with waypoints. Occasionally when players use a teleporter to a waypoint, they are teleported underneath the rune, and that drops them into the void. Any reason for this? I would think it might be chunk loading slowly, but I thought I'd ask since I didn't see this asked yet. Thank you.

Posted Feb 8, 2014So, ive been trying to set this up, and i aint sure why it wont work. I set it up with permissions, and this is basically the settup;
http://gyazo.com/51a67f3311e540ee93d732c468bf9aba <- config
http://gyazo.com/1c243712291343cc44945ac63e7bfca9 <- snippet of perms.
I have set up the runes i want people to use, and they only seem able to use Oracle. I then added in .runes and .teleport to see if that changed anything, and they can then use all the runes (are those two nodes for giving perms to all runes?).
If someone could give me a headsup on what i am doing wrong, thatd be lovely. These are set up for default players, but it dosent work if i dont have the runecraft.runes node in there, but they can then use everything, which isnt intended.

I'm having the same problem. It seems like several other people are too, but there is yet to be a fix for it. I've been telling my players to build their waypoints on the ceiling so they spawn under them. That seems to work for the time being.
It seems like waypoints are trying to spawn people below them instead of above, and when it can't find open air, it finds the bedrock, which it must see as open air, and spawns players in it, suffocating them.
