Residence
About
Residence is different from most protection plugins in that it aims for the users to be able to protect their own homes without having to bother the admin to do it. Residence has support for a variety of different protection types including preventing movement through areas, all of which can be configured by the land owner, and limited by the admin.

- Dynmap Residence - Dynmap plugin that shows residences on the webmap.
- ResExtras - Control snow, ice, animals, mobs, and more within a residence.
- Residence Fly - Controls flying within a residence. Leaving will cause a player to fall.
- Residence Signs - Easy buying/selling/renting with signs.
- ResTown - Controls which users can build outside of a residence.
- ResProtect - Protects animals via flags
- ResCreative - Grants creative on entering a residence.
- ResPerm - Adds additional permissions to a player on residence change.

as we have said, until Residence 3, any additional flags will have to come from Residence addons using the Residence API.

Posted May 25, 2012My residence has just stopped working completely resulting in me having to shut the server untill I get it fixed. When I type /pl the plugin appears in Red rather than green like the rest of them when when I type a Residence command ie. /res nothing happens. Please help me. Joee221

It might be conflicting with WorldEdit. So, I do a /res select worldedit to use the worldedit volume. Then you can "/res select vert".

You need to do a /res select without any sub options to make the actual selection before using /res select vert to increase the selection size to the world height.

Posted May 24, 2012Hey, yesterday I downloaded the newest Residence release and I didn't had any problems till I tried to make a new residence I choose the first and the second block with the wooden axe and when i type res select vert it says Select two points first before using this command! Sorry for my bad English Please help

me and this user both use stargate. is was not as bad in the pass as i used to not have many users or res set up. but now i gotten like ten new members and 5 new res set up all with stargate in them....we also use other means to warp in and out like essentials /home command

Residence 3 has not yet begun development. It is still in planning. Perhaps we can determine the cause of this?

The difference between a Lease and a Rental in Residence is that a Lease is renting the space from the server (periodic payments for the residence to continue to exist), while a Rental is between two players.

First, I go to translate in french Residence and I'll send you the file. I have a problem, I'm translating and I don't understand the difference between Lease and Rent, can you explain me to help me to translate ?
I don't understand the difference between : RentExpire: ... and LeaseExpire: ... In french it exists only one word to define the verb rent.
In the file there are a list of words to translate, I don't understand the difference between Total and Count. And the Cost is it the same thing of the price ?
And finally, I don't understand that : ResidenceBuy: 'Residence %1 has bought residence %2 from you.' It is a residence which pay an other residence :O ?

An add-on would be need to be written to block commands when in a residence. This functionality does not currently exist in Residence.
