Residence


About
Residence is different from most protection plugins in that it aims for the users to be able to protect their own homes without having to bother the admin to do it. Residence has support for a variety of different protection types including preventing movement through areas, all of which can be configured by the land owner, and limited by the admin.

- Dynmap Residence - Dynmap plugin that shows residences on the webmap.
- ResExtras - Control snow, ice, animals, mobs, and more within a residence.
- Residence Fly - Controls flying within a residence. Leaving will cause a player to fall.
- Residence Signs - Easy buying/selling/renting with signs.
- ResTown - Controls which users can build outside of a residence.
- ResProtect - Protects animals via flags
- ResCreative - Grants creative on entering a residence.

Details: No clue. I updated today, and now my console gets this error pretty often. Looks like an error caused when they try to make a region (which explains why my players claim that region defining isn't working), but I can't be certain.

Posted Jun 3, 2012We used to use Residence for everything but haven't as much for a while. I'm trying to rent out an area as a room in a hotel:
I set up the residence as normal: /res select vert, res create Hotel
I selected the area and did /res area add Hotel R1
Then I try to market it, with /res market rentable Hotel.R1 500 t
And it says Invalid residence... Any ideas?

Group A has variables a,b, and c
Group B has variables d, e, and f.
I want group C to share Group A's config, without having to make a separate config section for it, so in the Group A config section, I'd have:
Edit: forgot to mention, bekvon is looking at adding group inheritence, which would solve the issue if this mirror solution doesn't provide a temp fix. The mirror helps those that want the settings the same for all groups.

Your wiki doesn't explain it thoroughly. I think I would just wait for Residence 3 and the JavaDocs API. Would be allot easier, and if you need someone to clean up the wiki and update it you can ask me freely.

Posted Jun 2, 2012So i was looking thru the config and how to setup residence plots but my concern right now is do i have to create every plot and type /res create <residence> ? cause what i want to plan out is evenly place plots and if i could some how stack the plots so they can be claimed that would be easy.

Correct, we're using BukkitPerms and our in-house system that mirrors SuperPerms - its present. We need a way to differentiate if someone is in two groups (Donor & Staff) so to speak. Any thoughts on a fix?

Is there any fix for a user in multiple groups?

Some users in multiple groups are unable to have the appropriate permissions/abilities. User1 is in the permission groups of "xguide" and "t7"
Xguide is a staff position for helping newbs t7 is a donor tier that they have donated to.
Residence things that this user is a member of xguide and does not recognize the t7 group on the user at all. Is there a way around this? I can provide configs if needbe but believe it has something to do with permissions and not selecting the appropriate group.
