Me again. Another request for further down the line. Being able to buy and sell titles to the land by linking the titles to paper or some other item. If there was a way to make the bound item travel accurately through the economy system, this could truly become even more of a killer plugin.
I currently have webauction running on my server. This allows players to buy and sell items through a web browser, even when they're not online. I can't imagine how cool it would be if they could also buy and sell their properties on there, as well.
Might be worth checking out. The dev of webauction seems to be quite active, and a nice guy. I would imagine getting his support on the idea would be possible.
Hello!
Just an update about McTowns. You can still define plots/districts/regions/etc to protect/define towns, but if you want to sell/rent through RegionSelfService, you still need to do a /region define <name>. The plot name from mctowns will not carry over.
Example town with hotel setup
/mct addtown <name>
-etc with territory, district, plot-
/district add plot <name> (Lets use room1 for example)
Now in order to rent room1 you need to also define the plot as region room1
/region define room1 <owner>
From here you can rent this out with this plugin, have the security of worldguard, and the organization of McTowns!
It may seem tedious but these two plugs work AWESOME together!

I try with default config.yml & even with no config.
Oddly enough, I copied the config.yml directly from the jar... made sure I updated to the new version of your plugin... and I still got the error. It even regenerated my old config file.
Seems like you have an unknown character in the config.yml. Do you use some weird letter, of some foreign language?
(I had to google FFFD Replacement Character)
I updated the config page, since 1.2.
Can you copy it from there?
You can also extract the default config.yml from the jar-file. If you have winzip or winrar.
I am also willing to upload the config.yml. If you beg one more time xD
I've no idea what this means but if I beg will you include an UPDATED config file with the download (zip). Your plugin doesn't seem to generate one correctly for me.

I might be going crazy. But I found a flaw in the reserve-free-region system.
I made sure people cannot place For-Sale signs on their last region.
But, if someone has 2 regions. He can put them both up for sale.
And still end up homeless
This means that people can work together, to steal all the reserved Free regions.
Right? 8-)
So, I have to add a check... to the buy-command.
When 1 of the owners would be homeless after the sale, the region cannot be bought.
I don't feel comfortable with this. But it has to be done.
Another option would be... when a player puts a region up for sale...
Instead of just counting the regions, count the regions that are for sale.
But that's a heavy process.
can you bring back the: click a sign to get info on a region and how to buy it
and today we tested the rent function and a user rented my region for 2h
he god charged the money, but after 2 minutes he lost the the membership instead of 2 hours
By the way, http://64.120.11.237:8123/ that is the link for my minecraft server's dynmap. You can have a look around at it. There is one big worldguarded area, slightly to the right of the spawn. Inside of it, are little regions. Those are the ones I've put up for sale. That'll give you an idea of what your plugin looks like on the map, so far. With marker support, it'd just be that little bit better.
I am having trouble finding the documentation. Of the code. There's a file called dynmap-api.jar. I bet you don't put that in your plugins folder. I will figure something out.
Just incase you are interested in the plug: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/mctowns/
Its a neat plugin used to set up towns with smaller sections and used to sell property to mayors. I think it's a great combination with your plugin

Yeah jisaacs has the same problem. I haven't heard from him yet.
Have you tried..... stopping the server. Delete config.... start server
It says some special character is not allowed. At position 376. What the heck is that supposed to mean? haha
It's weird that I don't get this error. Maybe we use different bukkit versions.
I tested with the latest bukkit version of this moment (1697).
Edit: I should really be testing with, just the latest recommended build

I will change those "payment bypass" permissions of this plugin to be "false" by default.

Lolz sorry. I forgot to change it. I changed it to minutes, instead of hours. To test.
To be honost, I haven't fully tested the renting stuff.
There might be some performance issues.
I am working on it right now.
I already added the righ-click info. And I will change the minute back to hour. Thanks!

I see. You're not using
/selfservice create. You use MCTowns to create the regions. And this plugin for the wooden signs.
Be careful, signs don't automatically break. If you use MCTowns to remove regions.
I expect no other problems.

It sounds cool. For sure.
I like the dynmap idea. I never heard of dynmap. But you explained it well. I'd have to look into it soon.
The citizens stuff... I don't know. It sounds cool. But... it's for fun, it's not really "useful". So it has low priority. But I will think about it!
I like suggestions.
