RealisticsTorches
RealisticsTorches v1.4.1
Add realism to your torches!
Because pictures are always better than thousand words:

You want to know what this simple plugin does? Fine. This plugin makes torches burn out after a certain amount of time and it can also make torches break or disappear when it's raining (only if they are touched by rain, not if they are protected). It's multiworld capable plugin, so for example they can only activate this plugin on a "adventure" world or have different settings for each worlds.
Feel free to post your suggestions, remarks or anything like that.

Posted Sep 22, 2011Could you perhaps add an option to make jack-o-lanterns burn out? Perhaps an option to have jack-o-lanterns, specifically, not burn out in the rain though (is that more realistic, I'm not sure...)?
I'd really appreciate this very much. My users discovered they do not burn out and now I'm finding them in mines; it's driving me mad. Just go to the Nether like a normal person, I tell them! ;)
Thanks a lot. And thank you again, so very much, NeatMonster. This plugin is my lifeblood.

Posted Sep 20, 2011I love you and this plugin. Thank you so much for making it. I had worked so hard to make torches burn out in the rain, and here you are, having done the work for me. Thanks so much!

Hello,
"Where are the torches "saved"?" In an torches.yml file in /torch directory.
"Does it work with /reload or a server restart?" I think.
"Does the plugin needs much performance?" Hum... It uses delayed task to burn out torches, and also it search on loaded chunks when it's raining. We could say it needs much performance than other plugins.

Hello,
I understand your opinion, but I think it can be useful on some realistic RPG servers.

Posted Aug 29, 2011I don't want to talk your plugin down, but I think it's not that effective and useful, because I think this makes people taking their torches down all the time and then replacing it with the same, because the damagevalue isn't (possible to be) saved. The torches dropping when hit by rain is pretty interesting but still no point to install it on my server. Just wanted to tell my opinion. Some might like it ;)
Good luck and still good work, Folas.
