What is RacesAndClasses?
RacesAndClasses (RaC) was made to bring the best RPG experience to Minecraft servers. You are able to customize your own classes and races, making your server a world full of adventure! RaC is inspired by the biggest MMORPG game in the world, known as World Of Warcraft.
Core Features of RaC
- Make different races and classes
- Every part can be customized
- Change the way players chat
- Change gameplay on your server significantly
- Provide RPG experiences to the PvE and PvP environment
- Add spells, totems and other WoW items in Minecraft, without a mod
- Have players choose their own playstyle and gameplay
Plugins with RaC
RaC works with almost any plugin! Mcmmo, heroes, faction and towny. These are the most commonly used plugins for this plugin and they all work 100%
RaC offers plenty of configuration, for each individual server. For example some server owners love the teleport arrow for raiding, and some don't; so It's all up to you.
Developers guide
RaC is as mentioned, a customizable plugin, that also counts for custom traits.
This means, that any developer can make their own traits and make his/her server even more special!

Important notices
First of all: All these components can be disabled in the config!
Gravity's Updater:
For legal reasons and for uploading this plugin to Bukkit I have to mention, that the plugin has an updating service which connects to 'http://www.curseforge.com/'. This includes:
- Checking the Version of the plugin against the newest release Version.
- Downloading the newest Version if enabled.
Error Uploader:
Also the Plugin uses an Error Uploding Service, which connects to my Domain: www.tobiyas.tk.
This includes:
- Reading Errors from the error.log located at plugins/RacesAndClasses/debug/error.log
- Uploading these errors to my domain (www.tobiyas.tk)
- The Errors are visibly ONLY to me (Tobiyas) and are regularly checked to find and fix bugs faster than via Tickets.
Hidendra's Metrics:
The plugin uses Hidendra's Metrics service and sends Metrics data of your Server to the Metrics at 'http://mcstats.org/'. This includes:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
All these services are optional and can be disabled via Configuration.
UPDATING From 1.1.6 AND OLDER VERSION
If you use the config.raceMaxHealth: ... of a race, this has been removed with 1.1.7.
You now have to use config.healthbonus: ... (as in classes) instead.
You get 20 base health + race healthbonus + class health bonus.
UPDATING FROM 1.0.3 AND OLDER VERSION
If you use
general_saving_savePlayerDataToDB: true
Set this option to false and do a restart with the old Version. For best Use with 1.0.3 (RC 2)! This will convert all File DB related Data to YML data. If you do NOT do this, your PlayerData will be LOST!!!
If you have
general_saving_savePlayerDataToDB: false
you can safely ignore this step.
Known Bugs for Current Version (1.2.0)
Only runs on Bukkit distros using Spigot API (spigot, paper, ...).

Ok, after 6 hours (no server restart or session change) my race got changed to default, and my other players are reporting the same too. The problem hasn't been resolved for me in this version then.
Since you can't replicate this problem, it seems I'm stuck with using 1.1.2 now :(
EDIT: I switched back to 1.1.2, and the race still changes to default. I changed sessions and check my other accounts and they also got changed to default. I tried changing sessions a few more times and it keeps changing every time. What's going on now? Then I found out I was still using "tag" instead of "racetag" on the race yml files, so I changed it back to "racetags". Logged on and it seems fine now (no change to default), and tried a few more sessions and it's all working fine. Is the loss problem related to tags? So I tried switching the "racetag" back to "tag" to see if it will lose the race, but after a few session changes everything is still working (even if the tags are not being read). Really weird! But I'll do the time test and wait after 6 hours to log on and check if time is a factor in the problem...

Oh yeah. I forgot to mention that the racetag and classtag now are simply tag. So you got to renqme that in your files.
@yaso0201 There Must be an error in the startup.

After testing the file you provided, I found that it doesn't reset the race (tried both changing the session multiple times, and also waited for 5 hours or more before logging on). Whatever got changed here, it seems to work for me so that's a great surprise :D
Unfortunately, the race prefix when you TAB is still not working, unless a "racesreload" is executed. You seemed to changed the way the plugin gets the race tag, because it doesn't get it from the "race tag" line in the races yml files anymore. This is unfortunate because the previous version has this where I can shorten a race name (Dwarf > Dwf or Lavaborn > Lav) and also add color to it. Short tags won't take the whole line and swallow a players name, and the colors make it easy to see races with over 50 players on a TAB list.

The problem is, that I can find no way to replicate the error with the newest version. So no possibility for me to fix it.
The tab list problem is most likely dedicated to Spigot 1.8 I think. Seems like the Tab-List entries are not updated after a player join.
I worked around that. Could you test the following version?

What do you mean by worked fine? The race loss does not happen some time afterwards after a "racesreload"? Or the TAB list shows race prefix for you even when there's no "racesreload"?
So I guess the race/class loss is just happening to me and Faldonboy then, unless others report the same issue. This is not what I wanted to hear since version 1.1.2 works fine, and whatever got changed in 1.1.3 is causing my players race to reset after a "racesreload" :(
EDIT: Well thanks for taking your time to address the issues I have. I'll try to find a way then to work around this problem.

What exactly means 'Not recognized'?
Does it not load? Does it throw errors?
I need some more infos than 'it does not work'.
Also which plugin version are you using?
@RyujinNoKaen
As I tested it, it worked fine. No idea, why it did not for you. :(

Yes, the race prefix will not show in TAB list for new players logging in, unless a "racesreload" is executed.
But the other issue is that if i make a change on any config files, I will have to wait for a server restart for it to take effect. Since using "racesreload" will trigger a possible loss, it is not a good command to use in 1.1.3.

After a few more tests on 1.1.3 last night without any server restart/reload or racesreload, the races never changed. I did some session changes and also waited for 10 hours, still no change. Seems like you are right that this loss is tied to 'racesreload'.
Sadly, this makes 'racesreload' useless, since I rely on that to "refresh" the server and show the races in TAB when a player joins. I'm gonna need to stay in 1.1.2 since this is a feature that my players want to keep.

I did some debugging and testing and I fixed the issue I think. Some wierd thing... It seems like a Value in an Class. Now I commented it out and the warning for avira disappeared... That makes absolutely no sence.. But well. It's gone. ;)
