Quester

Quester is highly customizable plugin handling all kinds of quests. From simple "gather to get reward" quests, to complicated forked story-telling quests. What is even better, everything is customizable on-the-fly directly in game ! No more restarting/reloading your server every time to change something. Localizable messages, plenty of different, highly-customizable objectives, conditions, events and flags. NPC and sign support. All this together creates almost unlimited possibilities.
Found a bug? Have a suggestion? Sumbit a ticket.
Don't forget to specify Quester version you are using and label the ticket appropriately. Tickets without label will take longer to review or be ignored completely.
Latest DEV version should be working with recent minecraft versions. See dev builds.

You need to stop the server, apply changes and then start it again. /q reload reloads only config.yml at the moment. I will change this to work on both config and quests

Hey, Another question. When u add group support its very nice but when someone killa boss alone and this isnt a group quest and a other player hit the boss only 1-2 times the boss does not count for the quest..
Anyway to fix it?

Posted Feb 23, 2013Hello everyone, I'd like to show alpha 0.7 to everyone who is interested in testing and bug reporting. This version is expected to be very buggy, so don't dare to use it on a production server. I expect you to know how to work with quester already and to know what to expect. (knowing java wouldn't hurt at all, since the best documentation is the code itself)

Posted Feb 23, 2013Is there a way to mark a quest as incomplete.. after its been completed..
What I want to achieve is this. Quest through a chain.. then reset them to incomplete when the last one is done.. so you can redo the entire chain from the beginning.. otherwise if I just allow them all repeatable.. you can skip and repeat just the middle or end.
Any work arounds ?

While group questing is not built in .. you can hack one in .. for example.
If its to kill a boss together .. just give the boss a reasonable respawn time and they can sit there and farm him together until everyone gets it done.

Named item recovery for books may not be in but you dont need physical items for quests to look like you do.. example (retrieve book quest) have a bookshelf and have a location objective next to it with completion text that reads.. "Searching the bookshelf you find the missing diary" .. then just use the objective as the flag that you have the book. If you need long term memory of the book then make the book a quest completion and not just an objective and you will have a record of the book recovery forever.

Posted Feb 22, 2013But i Have a problem. At the moment i only test it with epicboss not with normal npcs or player but when a Player must kill a Boss from a Quest and a other player only do 1 hit on the boss the Quest are not completed.
Anyway to fix it?

Also breaking specific blocks in a specific XYZ coordinates? For example harvesting a specific field of wheat? Or for that matter planting wheat in a specific field?

I may improve documentation in the future. Until then, you will learn everything you need by just reading it all. It is explained there how things work, and once you know that, you know how to use them. There are few things that are not mentioned in the documentation. You can ask if you come across any of them.

Posted Feb 21, 2013Please make a tutorial where EVERYTHING is explained in all steps, because that Quest Examples page is really handy and good but then I figured out you need to do something with Quest Holder too wich is explained on a whole other page.. So please make a new tutorial of how to create a simple killing quests, and if you have any time, make a video :D still your plugin is very nice and I have been waiting for this a real long time :D Keep up the good work
