Quester

Quester is highly customizable plugin handling all kinds of quests. From simple "gather to get reward" quests, to complicated forked story-telling quests. What is even better, everything is customizable on-the-fly directly in game ! No more restarting/reloading your server every time to change something. Localizable messages, plenty of different, highly-customizable objectives, conditions, events and flags. NPC and sign support. All this together creates almost unlimited possibilities.
Found a bug? Have a suggestion? Sumbit a ticket.
Don't forget to specify Quester version you are using and label the ticket appropriately. Tickets without label will take longer to review or be ignored completely.
Latest DEV version should be working with recent minecraft versions. See dev builds.

Well, i can't help you there since I have never had any of these problems myself. The thing that's most strange i think is that you can add but not remove quests from NPC's.
i mean, they use the same permissions node (or requires OP) :/

- I try with ops permission, and without permission node (for local test first)..
- I can hear npc text,
- i can select npc (with /npc sel x or with item selection) and bind trait quester,
- i can select the quest,
- i can activate or disable the quest,
- my blaze rod can only add quest to npc .. no remove, and only with right click (if i use two times right click with BR, i can see: "Quest added to npc", "Quest added to npc"),
- left click on npc do nothing,
- no errors on console,
- now i have only 3 plugins for test : Citizen last version, Iconomy last version, Quester last version (with Vault ofc), and bukkit last version too..

Posted Sep 13, 2012they also need to rememeber to have the citizens.listen permission (i think that's the permission node)
otherwise they can't hear what the npc says. And make sure they know what item to use when talking to an npc (can be changed in the citizens plugin file).
I couldn't quite understand how that reward event stuff enabled bonus objectives. But I'm assuming that you will make a good dokumentation :)

Adding a quest:
1. Make quest.
2. Make sure it's selected. (/q select <quest ID>)
3. Make sure you have quester.modify and quester.use permissions
4. Create NPC
5. Add quester trait to that NPC. (/trait quester)
6. Right click NPC with blaze rod (it should add that quest)
Checking NPC quests:
1. Make sure you have quester.npc permission
2. Make sure you add quest to that NPC (guide above)
3. Make sure you are not holding blaze rod (in case you have modify perm)
4. Left click that NPC (it should show quest list for that NPC)
5. Right click that NPC to take selected quest (green one on the list)
If it throws any errors, that is good, because it can be fixed. If it does not, I can't help you since I can't reproduce your problem.

No, i try with and without blaze rod .. i have just finish to try without my others plugins .. and it's the same .. i think i don't know how to use correctly this pluggin with citizen :p

All rewards would become events, just like teleport reward or command reward did.
Imagine being able to reward player on all event occasions and even be able to set delay. It would still be possible to just reward player "on /q done", but it will be even harder for people to get into making quests.
It would make it possible to create suggested "bonus objectives" without any other changes in the plugin. Smart combination of events would make it possible to create pseudo-bonus objectives (objective prequesities needed though) and reward player right after completing bonus objective.
About databases: I am hesitant to add such feature yet, because I want to have most features and intended functionality done first. Many things are going to change in next release and I want to implement databases once data storage methods are unlikely to be changed. You don't have to worry about it now, but such command will be, of course, provided.

might the problem be that they are trying to start the quest with the blazerod in hand?
also, the condition ``money`` says the the player needs to have a specified amount of money to start a quest. so if i set amount to 3000. do they need exactly 3000 or a minimum of 3000.
I see your going to add database support, and I'm assuming it's MySQL. Then please don't forget to add the command that transfers the local files to the database. redoing all the missions I've done so far would be a pain in the ass.

In that case, something is interfering with citizen left-click event. It can be another trait that cancels it, or even another plugin (there were issues with multiworld). Try installing only Citizens 2 and quester and see if you still have this problem. If not, some onther plugin is probably causing it.

It needs to be selected first, as single NPC can hold more quests. Left click NPC first, to cycle through active quests and right click to activate selected one.
So: Does left-click do anything ?
If that was the case I will make NPCs holding single active quest automatically assign that one even if not selected.

"[...]When we create a quester, all work but when i try to add a quest to the quester, it's look working (i have the message who says the quest is added to the NPC appears) but we can't can't interract with him (nothing appears by left-clicking) and it says "no quest selected" when we rightclicked. Edit: The /q toggle don't fix the probleme."
but i have the last version 0.55 and Citizen last version too 2.0.. the quest is activated but when i touch my npc, "no quest selected".. if somebody have an idea ...

Any additional info ? type /q info and what do you see ? what conditions are you trying to add ? Your quests.yml ? Does player who starts the quest actually meet those conditions ? How can I help you if you provide no info ?

Posted Sep 10, 2012I really would love to use this plugin on my server, but i have read over everything and done all the commands to set up a new quest, but it always tells me that One or more conditions are not met. But when i do the condition command to add one it tells me that it does add it. Any help is appreciated.
