ProtectionStones
Anti-Griefing at it's Easiest!

Griefing Protection
ProtectionStones allows a player to place a special block, and this protects their area from griefing.
This small plugin was inspired by PreciousStones but only has the property protection blocks. This allows players to place one of three types of ore blocks to protect their property.
The player doesn't require any special permissions, they just need to get one of the three following ore blocks which you can give or sell in game using other plugins:
Coal Ore gives 11x11x11 protection area.
Lapis Ore gives 21x21x21 protection area.
Diamond Ore gives 41x41x41 protection area.
See the Configuration Page if you would like to change the block types, the dimensions or even set the Y-Axis to be from sky to bedrock, set group limiting, etc.
When the player places the block it creates a WorldGuard Region that gives the player ownership of that area and in turn grief protection. If the player breaks the ProtectionStone then they get the stone back and the region is removed from WorldGuard's Region List.
To install simply copy the ProtectionStones.jar file to your plugins folder, no configuration necessary. The following Ore Blocks are supported as the defaults: Coal Ore, Lapis Ore, Diamond Ore.
ProtectionStones Regions
ProtectionStones Creates WorldGuard Regions with the following naming convention:
ps{x-coordinate}x{y-coordinate}y{z-coordinate}z
i.e.
ps279x67y40z
The x, y, and z coordinates are the location of the placed ProtectionStone which is in the center of the WorldGuard Region it creates. If the Region.SKYBEDROCK Setting is set to "true" (see the Configuration Page) then Y-Axis of the ProtectionStone isn't necessarily the vertical center of the region.
Incompatible with PreciousStones
Both plugins act on the same kind of ore blocks and have the same command name of "/ps".
Requires WorldGuard
WorldGuard is used to create and remove regions when the blocks are placed, otherwise ProtectionStones won't do anything (set not to load if WorldGuard isn't found).

Not a bug, if you read the Configuration Page, I warn people not to use just any block, you wouldn't want to use sand or dirt, etc.

If they are trying "/ps info" then they won't have permission since that isn't the correct syntax, and if they are using "/rg info" then you have a permission issue in WorldGuard, and ProtectionStones would have nothing to do with a permission message.
If you can't figure out the WorldGuard Permission, feel free to PM me your perms for a player having problems and I'll be glad to help you out.

it keeps telling they got no permission to to this but they got all permissions they need
(when i unload protectionstones its working perfetcly)
--------------i just found your answer of one of my older posts: the anti x-ray plugin is working just the protectionstones are not logged (i think its the same problem like with logblock or worldguard protection)
i changed the protectionstones to sponge, endportal and portal so its not a problem for me anymore except the one with the worldguard protection
-> some parts of the shop is sponge =/

ProtectionStones would have no effect on whether or not the WorldGuard /rg info command works.
What happens, does it tell them they don't have permission to use it, or does it not return the region information?

There will be a minor update PS 1.9d for Minecraft 1.7 (when Bukkit releases a dev copy).
The next major version of ProtectionStones will be 2.0 which is still being written, it will have numerous updates, including craftable PS Stones, the return on the reload command, and many other changes I have been talking about in the forum.

In the past I zipped up my projects and sent them to people requesting the source, but I will work harder to get all my projects setup on the forum repositories.

I sent you one or two more messages than this one but you are right!
I'm sorry about spamming and promoting my plugin here. I will delete all my messages right now! I was a bit angry because you broken MIT licence and ignoring my PMs, that's the why of my wrong attitude, anyway again: I'm sorry about it!
Sincerely,
Diego.

Here's the only PM I got from you:
Which i didn't run through Google Translate nor respond to.
No thank you for your source code, keep it in your project.
Now, please stop commenting in this forum, you first came on here spamming my users, then promoting your version, and bad mouthing both me and this plugin, which is pretty rude, and against the Curse Policies on no "drama", yet you want the source code so bad, that I already said if you don't like decompiling it then you can wait for the 2.0 version for the source code.

Decompiled Bytecode is not source code, and doesn't make your project 'open source'. You must provide the original source code in order to use an open source license like MIT:

Posted Oct 15, 2013@AxelDios Thanks for such a quick reply. I think your suggestion of changing the default stones to an alternative set of blocks is the best bet, especially if there is a possibility of this happening again with bukkit dev builds. I think I will change the stones from ores to iron, gold and diamond blocks and hopefully that will fix any future issues. Thanks again and keep up the awesome work!

I have noticed in the past some people have had issues with XP orbs, and it seems to be a mix of things, but most often I've seen that issue with dev builds of Bukkit. So hopefully it should return to normal, if not, you can also use other blocks for your ProtectionStones, If you want to use other blocks just read the Configuration Page about making those changes.

First of all, you started spamming this forum, and telling the PS users about your version of PS and how it was being released in a few days, and posts like this one:
"I'm just about to release my new version of this old fashioned plugin. Just wait 2 days and you will be able to ask anything you need to me."
Since Dec 20, 2011 when this plugin was first released I have been very proactive in responding to all messages and requests, suggestions, problems, etc.
And I looked at your profile and you had a plugin called: "Libelula Protection Stones" that was in planning, which now doesn't show.
Now you come back, calling me a liar and say you want to contribute.
Here's a picture of the source code in a free decompiler:
And here is the about screen from the free decompiler, with the URL to download it:
And here is a link to the definition of an MIT Open Source License
Please stop spamming the forum.

Posted Oct 15, 2013This is a great plugin, but it's just stopped working with git-bukkit-1.6.2-r1.0-2-g317b76b-b2882jnks (mc 1.6.4). All was good until yesterday when all default ProtectionStone ores just stopped dropping xp orbs and dropped no extra items when using a fortune pick when players were mining. Other non-ProtectionStone ores like redstone and emerald were unaffected.
I uninstalled ProtectionStones removed the jar and folder, restarted the server and did a fresh install and got the same problem. Any ideas? or will I have to wait for an update?
Also, on a side note. It's really sad to see AxelDios and ddonofrio can't find a way to work together on ProtectionStones. This is the most user friendly and simple to use land and grief protection system around, having two talented developers actively supporting it can only make this plugin better for all of us that use it. That's just my two cents.

It is open source but I don't have a repository, you can easily decompile Java, with the available free decompilers. And with the nature of Java get all the verbatim code including the original variable names, just not the comments.
If you use the code, just please reference me and which of my plugins you got the code from. Feel free to PM if you need further help with the code.
