ProtectionStones
Anti-Griefing at it's Easiest!

Griefing Protection
ProtectionStones allows a player to place a special block, and this protects their area from griefing.
This small plugin was inspired by PreciousStones but only has the property protection blocks. This allows players to place one of three types of ore blocks to protect their property.
The player doesn't require any special permissions, they just need to get one of the three following ore blocks which you can give or sell in game using other plugins:
Coal Ore gives 11x11x11 protection area.
Lapis Ore gives 21x21x21 protection area.
Diamond Ore gives 41x41x41 protection area.
See the Configuration Page if you would like to change the block types, the dimensions or even set the Y-Axis to be from sky to bedrock, set group limiting, etc.
When the player places the block it creates a WorldGuard Region that gives the player ownership of that area and in turn grief protection. If the player breaks the ProtectionStone then they get the stone back and the region is removed from WorldGuard's Region List.
To install simply copy the ProtectionStones.jar file to your plugins folder, no configuration necessary. The following Ore Blocks are supported as the defaults: Coal Ore, Lapis Ore, Diamond Ore.
ProtectionStones Regions
ProtectionStones Creates WorldGuard Regions with the following naming convention:
ps{x-coordinate}x{y-coordinate}y{z-coordinate}z
i.e.
ps279x67y40z
The x, y, and z coordinates are the location of the placed ProtectionStone which is in the center of the WorldGuard Region it creates. If the Region.SKYBEDROCK Setting is set to "true" (see the Configuration Page) then Y-Axis of the ProtectionStone isn't necessarily the vertical center of the region.
Incompatible with PreciousStones
Both plugins act on the same kind of ore blocks and have the same command name of "/ps".
Requires WorldGuard
WorldGuard is used to create and remove regions when the blocks are placed, otherwise ProtectionStones won't do anything (set not to load if WorldGuard isn't found).

The only person who would benefit from something like that would be a mod or admin, and they can get all the region names doing "/rg info" via WorldGuard, and even WG doesn't show info for all regions you are standing in, but one at a time.
At this time I won't be adding an info command for overlapped regions since PS doesn't allow you to place a PS unless you own all the overlapping regions.

Sounds like a permission change, start by PM'ing me your PS Config.yml file.
And what happens when the players do the "/ps add" command, do they get an error message?

That is a totally different flag, in the list of newer flags that WG added, I will be adding it, but it works completely differently from the other flags, it is in the long list of updates and changes for PS.
Don't forget, WorldGuard was already a plugin before Bukkit, and has a large pool of people who work on it, so It sometimes takes some time for me to add and test new features, and this isn't my only plugin I working on.

Posted Mar 21, 2014Hi there,
I am using Protection Stones and have been for quite some time, but lately I've been getting some complaints that players aren't able to add members to their protection stones. I (as Op) can still add members for them but its quite a pain in the butt. Did I not configure my file correctly? I can post it in a reply if you would like to see it. Just seeing if you might have some insight as to why no one but me can add members to their personal stones.
Thanks, love the plugin!

Posted Mar 21, 2014could you trick it so when you do mob-spawning deny, it doesn't touch mob-spawning, but instead does deny-spawn [list of hostiles] ?

That's not a bug in PS, PS uses WorldGuard for all it's protection and that is currently the way the mob-spawning flag in WG works. It blocks all mobs from spawning when using the mob-spawning flag.

Posted Mar 21, 2014bug with setting mob-spawning deny in ps (most people want their mob spawning disabled).
It blocks animals and babies too.
Setting deny-spawn flag still allows all mobs to spawn inc. the ones in deny-spawn flag.

Bug fix, when using the NOSILKTOUCH (set to true), the protectionstones.destroy Permission wasn't being checked and the WorldGuard Region Check wasn't being done.
This would allow players that aren't allowed to break blocks or blocks in that region to break them at will, this would effect any block listed in the ProtectionStones Block List in the config.yml when NOSILKTOUCH is set to true.

The plan for PS 2.0 is more commands like the one you are asking for.
A couple of problems with many of those commands that effect all regions are the following:
1) WorldGuard doesn't have a command to handle this so I have to check the database manually, which is intensive on the server.
2) If a player forgets about some of their regions they might add players accidentally.
PS 2.0 will have a small database that will allow more commands like the one you are asking for with very low resource use on the server.

Did you get this first issue resolved?
Sounded like either your permissions were locked down to deny all defaults or your "global" region, etc. were changed.

Posted Mar 15, 2014i have a request. I'd wonder if you could add a command that would allow players to add people to every protection they have... like instead of /ps add [playername] have something like /ps addall [playername] and it will add that player to all ur existing regions. and make the permissions like protectionstones.add.all. that would be amazing if that is even possible. :3

One of the goals for PS 2.0's rewrite is to add multi-language support.

No ETA. One reason is the wait to see how Mojang finally handles a few things in vanilla Minecraft that will effect PS 2.0, other issues range from it being so different from the older versions that some people do not like the changes in the test builds.
