Plot Claim

Plot Claim
Current Version 1.1.0
Updated to work with 1.12.1
Description
Plot Claim gives you a few resources for allowing players to own land on your server. If you ever played Ultima Online, you can appreciate this plugin.
How it Works
You have two options for allowing players to place land.
1. Give them access to the /pclaim command.
2. Create a writ, or deed, that they can use to claim land. These may be placed on a vendor so they have to be bought by the players. Very fun way to sell land. To use the writ Right Click in your inventory, not on your hotbar! Once the writ is used, it will be destroyed from the player's inventory. (Careful when using a stack of writs, they will all be destroyed (To be fixed in future update))
Currently. A player cannot claim land within 10 blocks of another region already defined. If you want to create an area with no housing just make a region over it.
A player may only own one region per world. This is why the release commands and writs are available.
These two options will be configurable in an upcoming release that includes... a config file! :)
Command List
/pclaim <int> : This command creates a region that expands in every direction, x, y, and z, where the number of blocks to expand by is declared as <int>
/prelease : This command let's a player release land that they have already claimed.
/prelease CONFIRM : This is a confirmation command to really release the land after they have read a small warning.
/pcwrit claim <int> : Creates a Writ of Claim in the inventory of the player that issued the command. This writ can be held and either left or right clicked to claim a piece of land. <int> describes how far the land will be expanded from where the player is standing.
/pcwrit release : Creates a writ of release, to release land that is already claimed by a player.
/pcwrit help : Shows you how to use /pcwrit
Config File
Config
Pdistance was added to set the number of blocks that must exist between plots, to keep them from being on top of one another.
Dependencies
WorldGuard and WorldEdit
Permissions
- pclaim: PlotClaim.pclaim
- prelease: PlotClaim.prelease

you must be kidding... reading your previous posts, I've been waiting for weeks for a 1.7.x update... so you mean there won't be any official update ? We already have plenty of plugins at dev stats, leading to unstable servers, so it's pretty hard to decide to run a 1.6.4 version on our servers...
anyway... thanks for this nice plugin and keep on the good work !

Posted Feb 17, 2014Hey I am in the market for a very simple claim system to build into my current world. I am a very experienced coder/programmer as well if you need help..
Simply put nothing seems to solve my issues. I am already running worldguard and essentials and DONT want a replacement system (like griefprotection). I want a lightweight plugin to be able to let players create simple claims for in-game money and have them protected! LOL
When are you planning to update?? if you need a 1.7.* test server I am at your disposal because all I am doing right now is testing before going live in the next few weeks. Planning on lots of users to jump on.. already at the gates waiting for us! And this really is the ONLY thing left on my list to get functional.

I can't imagine this won't work on 1.7.2 or 1.7.4. That isn't something I have tried yet. If it doesn't work it shouldn't take much to get it working. I am still working on the next version. It has become more involved than I originally planned I am getting there!

Posted Jan 16, 2014Update!
Just a quick update that PlotClaim 1.1.0 is quickly coming along. A complete rewrite of a few classes has slimmed up the code a bit, but you couldn't tell for all the features being added. I expect an initial stable release within the week! Check back soon, and thanks for giving this plugin a shot!
Your title here...
Are you running Plot Claim on your server? I want to see it in action! Give me a shout in PM. I'd love to stop by and see how you are applying this plugin in your world.

With the current build you cannot set anything but a perfect square. I am already writing the next version that will allow more precise cubes to be made. For example /pclaim 5 5 250 in the next build will make the plot 5 blocks north/south, 5 blocks east/west and 250 blocks up/down.
Also with the new build the economy part will be working. When you claim an area it will take into consideration the total size of the cube in blocks, and you will have to pay X amount per block. That may be enough to alleviate the issue with people claiming massive chunks of land. I will however, add another section to the configuration file for setting a max size using pclaim.
Remember, you can always take the pclaim command away from players and set the size yourself using the writs. On my server the pclaim command is disabled, I only allow players to buy writs of certain sizes to claim land.

Posted Jan 12, 2014Is there a way to set the size of the lots that a player can claim? For example, make it where a player can only claim a plot that is 124x124 in block size.
Also, are the claimed plots protected from the bedrock to the highest build point?
This may be the plugin that I have been looking for if it can in fact do the above things. Thanks!

Well help me out a little bit. You were saying that if you used /prelease CONFIRM or the writ of release it wasn't removing the region?
That is something I want to look into. I am currently changing those two functions so that it will tell you if you do not have a plot when you use it. Right now it just removes a plot based on your character name, it doesn't check to even see if one exists.
I appreciate it. I may also want to hop on your server and see how it is acting.
Thanks!!

Right now the player cannot give permission to another player, but an admin can add a member to the region using world guard commands.
There is an economy system coming when using /pclaim.
Right now if you want to charge for plot creation, you can use the writs on a vendor.

I would suggest trying the command /region list
See if there is a region in there that matches the character name.
You can do /region remove <name> to get rid of it that way.
