Orebfuscator
Orebfuscator - Anti X-RAY:

This plugin is used to counter X-RAY Client mods.
It modifies data that are sent to clients to hide blocks of your choice, such as Ore, chests, dungeons, etc.
It does not manipulate blocks in the world file, thus is safe to use.
ProximityHider is a feature that hides chests that are far from players.
As of 4.3.3, Proximity Hider has been enhanced to use line-of-sight checks, not just proximity! Upgrade today.

DOWNLOAD
Please read compatibility information before downloading as not all releases work with all versions of CraftBukkit.
Latest version should be on BukkitDev, or as a release on the Github page: https://github.com/lishid/Orebfuscator/releases
Please also download ProtocolLib and install it in the plugins folder.
- Is compatible only with version 4.0.0 or newer.
- For 1.9.4 support, you must use build 277 or newer of Protocollib 4.0
- For 1.10 support, you must use build 293 or newer of Protocollib 4.0
- For 1.11 support, please use latest stable builds of ProtocolLib for 1.11.
- For 1.12 support, please use ProtocolLib 4.3.0 or newer.

Features
- Advanced algorithm that hides ore, chest and and anything you specify in the configuration
- Spout compatible, but optional
- No modifications to CraftBukkit.jar is needed

Usage
Install:
- Copy "orebfuscator-4.4.3.jar" to your plugins folder
- If you're upgrading from Orebfuscator.jar, move the contents of the "Orebfuscator3" folder to the "Orebfuscator4" folder
- Restart your server.

Metrics
- This plugin utilizes Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that anonymous information of your OS and setup will be collected and sent to mcstats.org

Posted Jul 2, 2012Please let the Plugin automatically increase / decrease the View Distance! Because if there are 200 Players comming on my Server i have to restart the Server every time! ... To let a Plugin do this automatically will just be epic!

The distance is set to 20 but the plugin is not showing me the correct block (it seems like the distance is set to 0) ...
What can i do now?
Any plans for a update now? .. But the lag is really away now! xD

Posted Jul 2, 2012Hi, Great plugin! I love it! However, my server has a hard time keeping up. For some reason, chunks are loading very slow for users (takes like minutes!) and ruins the gaming experience. I'm running the server on a MacBook with 3GB RAM (allowed) out of 4GB max, with a fiOS connection. When I run the server without orebfuscator I can go 20 people fine, however when I add the plugin I can barely run 3 people. Is there any fixes to this? Please; I love this plugin and want to be able to use it

Log in without permissions and try to use X-ray.
No need to bother author if you are just too lazy to test it by yourself.

Posted Jun 30, 2012I installed this, didn't change nothing in config. does that mean my server is protected? - I don't have to edit nothing?. Does this also block texture pack xrays? - If i provide a link to a working texture pack xray - will you be able to block it?

Posted Jun 30, 2012I did a restart on upgrade ;) Anyway, the issue is back again as some users are reporting. After the server start it's good but after a while (no NPE whatsoever), the problem gets back. I'm having it on a non Op player on a clean oficial client. The radius check stops working after a while I guess.

Posted Jun 30, 2012Same issue with the chests. Just went back to 1.4.5 and the chests appeared with no issue, when i was walking right into the chests before and they would not appear at all unless I placed blocks.

what do you mean with full restart? I've stopped the server, deleted the directory orebefuscator, the jar file and the cache directory; then I've put in the plugin directory the new orebfuscator.jar files and i've restarted bukkit. I've to do something with orebfuscator commands?

Posted Jun 30, 2012Got the same chest problem here. I upgraded from 1.4.5 to 1.5.0. Deleted the cache. On first boot, players were only seeing chests when clicked on, after restart the problem was fixed. Maybe some cache building issue?

Same problem for me! Stone instead of chest ! When they click on it the returned chest but till this they see stone.. I use bukkit 1.2.5 r4.0, java x64 7 update 5 and 7 cores and cache for orebfuscator
